Oppo has been bit busy with the next version of the ColorOS update for its current devices. In the mean time, the company has quietly listed a new model - Oppo Neo 5s. As suggested by the ’s’ moniker, this model is merely a refresh of the last year’s Neo 5.
The Neo 5s features a 4.5” IPS display with a resolution of 854x480 pixels. The display is sensitive enough to be used even with gloves on or wet fingers. Oppo has powered it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. Packing 1GB of RAM, it offers 8GB of on-board storage and a memory slot to hold up to 128GB microSD cards.
This model runs ColorOS 2.0.1 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Imaging is powered by a 8MP rear snapper featuring the Pure Image 2.0 technology coupling autofocus and LED flash properties. However it can record only 720p videos and the front 2MP camera is meant for taking care of video calls and selfies.
This dual-SIM device supports a micro-SIM and a nano-SIM along with support for FDD-LTE network bands. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. Oppo has packed a 2,000 mAh battery inside Neo 5s.
The handset is already available in some markets for about €160.Source
