Oppo Android Tablet Smart wearables Headphones Announcement

Oppo had a busy day – it launched the Find X8 Ultra and the Find X8s duo, as well as a new tablet, watch and TWS buds. We covered the phones already, so let’s look at the other devices now.

The Oppo Pad 4 Pro has a 13.2” LCD with 3,392 x 2,400px resolution (7:5) and 144Hz refresh rate. It promises 12-bit color rendering (8-bit panel + 4-bit FRC) and 98% DCI-P3 coverage. Its brightness normally reaches 600 nits but can go up to 900 nits in high brightness mode. DC dimming is available.

This is a flagship tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 256/512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The RAM is either LPDDR5X (4,266MHz) on the 8/12GB models or LPDDR5T (4,800MHz) on the 16GB version.

The Pad is powered by a 12,140mAh battery with 67W fast charging over USB-C (the port is USB 3.2 Gen 1 @ 5Gbps). Additional connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 (be) and Bluetooth 5.4.

All this is packed into a slender 5.97mm frame that weighs 675g. There are quad speakers on board for streaming video and gaming. For work, there is an optional keyboard with a trackpad that pairs nicely with ColorOS 15’s split screen multitasking abilities.

The base 8/256GB model is priced at CNY 3,300 ($450/£350/€405/₹38,750). There are three other options: 12/256GB for CNY 3,600, 12/512GB for CNY 3,900 and the top-specced 16/512GB variant for CNY 4,100. Note that early bird deals reduce the price of the base 8/256GB model down to CNY 2,800 and of the top 16/512GB model to CNY 3,600.

Pre-orders in China begin today and include a free stylus normally worth CNY 500 and a few other goodies. The keyboard cover costs CNY 700, while a regular case is CNY 200.

The Oppo Watch X2 Mini combines style and functionality. One of the variants has 18K gold plating on the stainless steel body. That costs a bit more (CNY 2,100) than the base price of CNY 1,800 for Gray and Black models ($245/£190/€220/₹21,100). The watch is currently on pre-order.

Finally, the Oppo Enco Free4 come in two versions: Dynaudio Silver and Water Blue. The former are tuned by Dynaudio, a Danish loudspeaker maker. The buds have dual drivers – 6mm planar diaphragm tweeter and 11mm composite diaphragm woofer – and dual DACs. The buds are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified and support LHDC audio up to 1Mbps.

The Enco Free4 are rated IP55, so they aren’t afraid of the outdoors. They also feature 55dB noise cancellation, so you can enjoy your music in peace even in a noisy city or a busy office.

The buds can last up to 5.5 hours with ANC on and a high-quality LHDC connection, up to 11 hours with no ANC and AAC audio. The total listening time with the case is up to 22 hours (ANC on, LHDC) or up to 45 hours (no ANC, AAC).

I really don't think Tandem OLED is a good choice if the price jumps up too much. Think 2.5× the cost of an regular 10bit OLED panel.
