Oppo Android

Oppo is holding a grand event on August 28 to launch the Reno2, and during the last few days we're starting to hear more and more that it may not be the only device in the series arriving on that day. Yesterday the Reno A leaked, and today it's time for us to see the purported Reno 2Z in leaked live images for the first time.

The name implies this will be a successor to the Reno Z that only hit the market in June. Unlike that model, the Reno 2Z has no notch whatsoever, and that's because there's a motorized pop-up selfie camera. On the rear we can see four cameras arranged vertically, with a dual-LED flash to the right.

There's a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, near the USB-C port and speaker grille. According to a previous report, the Reno 2Z should sport a 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED touchscreen with an in-display fingerprint sensor and Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone is said to be powered by MediaTek's Helio P90 SoC, aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The primary rear camera will be 48 MP, and alongside it we're also getting an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor with 119-degree field-of-view, and two 2 MP lenses for portrait mode effects in both photos and videos. The pop-up selfie cam has 16 MP resolution. The Reno 2Z's lights are kept running by a 4,000 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

The handset will reportedly launch in India for under INR 25,000 (that's $348 or €309 right now).
