A new report from Digital Chat Station on Weibo offers some insight on two of Oppo’s upcoming wearable devices. The Oppo Watch 3 will aim to have longer battery life and will come in three different models: OWW211/212/213. The wearable will have a high screen-to-body ratio and will feature a “micro arc square dial design” and will be available in black, silver, dark gray and light gold.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Band 2 will come in black and blue models, and it will feature NFC and SpO2 monitoring. “In the second half of the year, the focus is on new flagships, new equipment, and new systems”, writes DCS (machine translated). Perhaps we can expect to see the new wearables sometime in H2 of 2022.
For reference, the Oppo Watch 2 launched with a 1.91-inch square display with rounded corners and its design is very much inspired by the Apple Watch. It also came powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100 Platform and paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. There’s a 510 mAh battery and support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi b/g/n.
Do anyone know if Oppo Watch 2 will launch globally and if those of us that purchased it from China can upgrade to Wear OS 3?
Do you think we will get Wear OS on Oppo Watch 2 this year? I really hope so because HeyTap Health sucks!
