Oppo Android Video Review Featured

Oppo introduced the Reno Ace as the flagship of the lineup, and the phone has pretty impressive specs - 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855+ chipset, and the SuperVOOC 2.0. It looks a lot like the Realme X2 Pro, but with some key differences, including the 48MP camera (instead of 64MP) and said charging, so Angie decided to check how those worked out.

The device tries to compete with the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (also known as Redmi K20 Pro) and the OnePlus 7T, and while it has it strong sides, the camera department doesn’t impress that much. The Reno Ace is also still exclusive for China, so it is yet unreachable if you aren’t willing to go the distance and work around the official delivery channels.

Oppo tried to offset the unimpressive camera with providing pretty much everything else, including a 3.5 mm audio jack, a feature wanted by many, but removed by other major manufacturers in their flagships. There are stereo speakers that are nice both for video and gaming.

There is also the ColorOS 6.1, based on Android Pie, which is a bit of a disappointment, given the sister company OnePlus already has Android 10 available. However, there are plenty of fans that love the customized user interface and will enjoy the Reno Ace.

We hope it will make a global appearance sooner rather than later.

Great video Angie. Oppo should improve the camera to be closer to the OP7 and it will be a best selling phone
