This is the worst phone i have ever had and the windows operating system is rubbish. My phone freezes every day and i cannot understand why the speaker is on the outside so when you are speaking with the phone at your ear the person next to you can hear your entire call. I loved Treo when it used the Palm operating system, it was so good and reliable, please ditch windows and bring back Palm. I have 20 other things wrong with this phone but no point listing them all, its just a rubbish phone.
i am just in the process of purchasing the palm treo 750 little over half price outright. I have never used a PDA before and wanted to start using one. I am really interested in the organiser functionality. Subsequently im also in the market of a new phone. I have no idea what the palm treo strenghts and weaknesses are and really want to make sure im getting what i pay for, as a uni student its alot of money to spend. can anyone offer some advice?
i think the fone is alright not that good of a battery life and it is not that user friendly as the treo700 for verizon i advise to purchase another fone if it is more than 259 dollars
I had a Palm Treo 750 and I am very satisfied with its performance so far.
But the battery life is not enough good as the entire device and this seems to be a traditional Palm problem that they should fix to win a place in the the Pocket PC market. I need to charge the battery once a day at least (and I follow all safe-battery guidelines printed on the manual).
Hello Dear Readers & Users
Please give me your honest suggestion. I want to buy either Treo 750 or Black Berry Curve. Which One is better? Which One is Durable? Which one ringtone is better? I mean I have used XDA Atom but the ringtone was terrible. So please give me you honest opinion about it..
Has anyone tried the minisd wifi card in the treo 750 yet and if so is it hard to set up? I just purchased an unlocked treo 750 on ebay not realizing it had no wifi. Should have done my homework huh. But if the card works it will make me happy. I have a palm tx that is great just isn't a phone. Not sure how I will like wm6 though.
hey buddy asking about front camera for 750.. 3G capability is more descriptive of a phone unit with connection capability of speed as much as 384 kbps, rather than having front camera..
Why there arent any camera in front of the mobile, if it is 3G?
How it is making 3G calls ? :
I am just about to send my 4th 750 treo back as the ear piece has gone. AS i mentioned this is my 4th treo and i will never be having another 1. I am now going to nokia n95. The problems i have been having are quite common or so i have ben told. I live in the uk and i cannot turn 3g off on the pda. This makes dropping calls very common. The touch screen went on another. The ear piece on this 1. The biggest problem i have found is that the standby and talk times are over stated by the makers. According to them it should last upto 4 hours talking and a lot more on standby. I have found talk time is normally about 2 hours max(using a bluetooth headset) and standby about 36 hours. So extremely disappointed with the phone. These are only my findings based on my time of having a 750 treo. Others may be luckier than me. Other than these serious problems the phone is great.
This is the second 750 I have had and this one is going back. This phone appears unrelieable and unstabel. I am a heavy business user of the phone and has used it on two networks in Australia. like many of these PDA phones they do not live up to the promise.
does anyone know what the maximum allowed memory for this is? im thinking about a 4gb so i dont know.
Hi Diego, you can add an wifi miniSD card (Spectec SDIO miniSD wifi card), that's widely available at Ebay. I've read some reviews that give good ratings to the card performance. I have this Treo, that's the only thing I think it misses is the wifi thing. And soon I'll get one of these cards.
Hi, does anybody know if it is possible to add wifi capabilities to the Treo 750 with a MiniSD wifi card?
Does the Treo 750 come with Yahoo Messenger installed already? If not ...can you install it?
Just bought a Palm 750 yesterday after toying around with the idea for a while but once they announced the wm6 upgrade; it was a done deal.
To answer a few questions posted here:
1) Yes it uses Active Sync (love it!)
2) It's extremely responsive for a device that manages your phone calls and pda functions.
3) Imho. Forget the N95 (nokia still have not managed to combine phone & pda smoothly), even the gps functionality sucks! If you want a nokia phone with decent internal gps get the 6110 navigator.
4) Only downside, no wifi.
