I've had this phone for a year before I have it to my brother. Its a great for kids to use as their first phone as it isn't too confusing. Overall its a good choice and it'll fit into any pocket as its so small!
have this phone for 3 years now... god knows how many times i dropped it and it still works perfectly fine. like others says it has limited functions which is okay for someone like me who only use it for SMS. It affordable and it works great..

My Comment Posted in Sept 2005.
An hour after I bought it in Low Yat Plaza , Kuala Lumpur, it fell off the neck strap, bounced on the pavement then fell through a slot into the drain on Jalan Alor! It wasnt raining so it wasnt washed away. I picked it up, dried it out and the next day it was perfect again!
Before buying the A100 I had read the comments about transmission noise that the other person hears. Nevertheless I bought it. After a year, the noise occurred too often for the phone to be my primary communication device. I gave it to my daughter a few days ago because of its perfect usability as an sms phone (I don't give her enough cedit to make many calls!) and because of the excellent My Composer.
I have use A102 one since 19 months before. Its very quit phone and good signal strength in poor signal area (long distance tower connect). It past more then 500 talking hours, Still its working properlly with better talking time (3.45 continuas talking).
I have used all types of phones with all sorts of feature. But trust me it ha never occured to me to get rid of my A100.It's for Friday and Saturday nights when there's no need for video calling of MM messaging.Plus chicks dig it...
I have been using this phone for more than 3 yrs it so good.so cute but i cannot download any tones or pictures. You have to satisfy with what u have in it.And date and time adjustment is also a problem.
I had a same problem with Trish, about the date/time setting. But now, i know how to fix it.
1. Switch off the phone and take the simcard out.
2. When switch the phone on, press phone picture (usualy it is green), the * (star) key and no. 3 together (long press), at the same time, press the switch on key.
Your phone will run well (date and time setting).
Anybody know the serial number or the name of the data cable? Is it possible to upgrade the software, that this phone has GPRS (as GD 55 has)? Please help me.
the cutest little phone i've used. it fits conveniently in the pocket. it's my favorite.
It is a good phone, but I can not to find any management software. I got the cable, but no software.
I am using this small phone 4 last six months and its working fine. Only problem is the mic which is quite far from mouth. Just on the handsfree and its fine. Battery lasts for long 3-4 days.
This is the nominal and cutest handset in the world… please any body sell it to me if you have one…
dis fone is really old!!!! the screen is black N white , theres no camera bluetooth radio mp3 player dis was probably the 1 fone invented!!!!!! plus, its not even a flip fone!!! whoever got dis fone must b from da time adam N eve were on earth!!!!!!!
This is actually a brilliant little phone. Small enough to even attach to a keyring (seriously!), it is light, configurable enough for your every need, and with a good selection of ringtones which are different from *that* one.... No-one else you know will have one. Two problems. Firstly, you can't download any new tones, so you're stuck with what you have. Secondly is simply one of mechanics, in that because your mouth is going to be far from the mouthpiece, you can sound a bit quiet over the other end when speaking. Other than these minor quibbles, a nice little phone!
