I am looking for a small phone with small buttons. Do you recomend the Panasonic GD55.
TINY phone, which is what I like about it. Simple to use, although easy to press the wrong buttons as its so small.
This is a great little phone, but I can't find any sites with GD55 keypress ringtones on! You can't download them straight from WAP (it says Wrong Mime or something similar when I try). I tried www.universal-ringtones.net and apparantly that DOES support the GD55 but there are NO tones on there!! If anyone knows of any sites please let me know. Cheers.
I just got this phone about 3 days ago. I am totally loving it. It's taking a little getting use to because compared to my Motorola V600, this phone has some old school capabilities.
Anyway...I'm having an issue setting the time on this. I don't see how you can set the time of day (am vs. pm) Right now my phone is totally off. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
I got problem with my GD55.
my phone is working but display
screen is not working.solve my
What all are you talking about that in GD55 we can not compose tones. Then Watch You can compose all type of tones(Bhangra,pop,rock,80's,90's,clasical,and all other) Through===============>
I got this phone last week and I really like it.Alot of people tell me that I will lose it but I dont listen to them. The only thing I dont like about it is that you cant download any ringtones. Other than that this phone is really cool
This is one of the smallest phones one the market, it don't have a color screen nor downloadble ringtones or wallpapers. Matter of fact it has limited wall papers, now it does have a melody composser which is not the best in the world. If you wna to get this phone for the quality of the calls dont I had more dropped calls on this phone and scrathciness then any other phone. Only get this phone for the size and looks, if you want color and wall papers it's bother the G51 is a little bit better. Any questions about phones e-mail me.
cute little phone which i used for a while.
however, was pretty small for me.
range was a slight problem from time-to-time.
I just got this phone a couple days ago and I love it. I have not been this excited about a cell phone in a long time. Yes it does have some quirks, but the phone has personality. I wish all the sequels that Panasonic has released were even half as cute as the original GD55, but after holding a color G51 in my hand and trying very hard to like it, I just couldn't get over how ugly and fat it was compared to the GD55. the A100's are even worse! What is Panasonic thinking??? Just keep the size, shape, weight and buttons the same and improve the features (downloadable ringtones would be nice) and PLEASE make a North American GD55 with 850/1900Mhz capability!!! Even though it doesnt have 850Mhz I have been using it with my Cingular account here in Southern California just fine. The reception is very clear.
One Caveat, I bought the phone from an online merchant and when I turned it on everything was in Chinese (at least it was Chinese to me!) The owners manual was also useless since it was in Chinese as well. After downloading the English owners manual from the Panasonic UK site I was able to switch it to English after some trial and error. Then I had to switch the frequency to 1900 to get it to work on Cingulars network.
hi i av jst got given the GD55 and hav no idea how 2 compose ringtones as i hav heard tht u cannot download thm plz help me
Dear guys, looking for ringtones of GD55 is juct a waste of time because the phone does not allow addition of newer ringtones,it just has the capacity for the in-built tones. So stop looking for GD55 ringtones 'cause u cant 'get' any from the net or from other phones through sms, yeah but there is capability to compose ringtones.
nice cute looks, great to handle and at the same time very feature rich, this phone's got it all.
good reception, but sometimes looses connections which may result in call drops, but yet has good connectivity.
nice features like poly ringer wallpaper and hands free and the best part is the small size.
overall a good choice for the entry level with the functions of a high end phone.
I bought this a GD55 about 6 months ago. I found it hard to use at first but once I got the hang of it I liked it. It's a good size for my pocket...that's why I got one in the first place. But, as mentioned by other users this phone has been unreliable in terms of it's reception and quite frequently the person on the other end of the phone tells me that ''it's breaking up'' as in it's crackly and they can't hear anything I am saying. I think this is a bad reception problem that the phone itself has. The keypad is ok if you have tiny fingers! I like the polyphonic ringtones and the alarm feature is very handy as well. It's a good phone for the cheap price they cost but I would not recommend this brand however.
Bought the GD55 in June but i think at changing it with a Siemens. GD55 looks great and is easy to use, but there are some faults that can't be overlooked: the sound at incoming calls is poor, there are too many errors in the menu (like when selecting language for broadcasting messages the phone blocks itself and you can only remove the battery and restart). It may be the smallest (even tough Maxon 7290 is smaller) and the sexiest cell but Panasonic should care more for its customers. But the GD55 only for the looks, if you want a smart reliable cell get another !!
