Guys owning pantech burst, have you seen any improvement in camera performance after upgrading the phone to ICS, I heard that the camera is too slow and also video is pixelated, please confirm.

Awesome phone, Came with Android 2.3 and updatedt ICS.
Sofar no issues since update. Performs well, no lags, Wonderful new features.
With ICS you will save battery more.
Only the drawback is battery drains fast with 3G or 4G data access. Also bit getting heated. If using only for calls, sms, less entertainments, you may use a single ull charge for 2 -3 days. At this price this is an unbelievable gadget. Highly recommending.
(Pc suit still does not recognize the phone with Windows 8 for me/ 7 is ok)
Pantech Burst is an AWFUL phone. Trust me, I work for AT&T and I have seen about 30 of them come back to the store where they have completely shut off and won't come back on. I would NEVER purchase a pantech phone. You people want to be cheap and buy a phone for a dollar, then get pissed at your carrier because the phone doesn't last for2 years....
ben, 10 Dec 2012have been using ds fone for abt 3 months nw... so far m damm pleasd wit d overall performance ... moreDo you root your phone? If not, look it up and then upgrade to ICS. The upgrade has some improvements to battery life, stability, speed, voice quality, and connectivity. However, it comes with acute annoyances to be quashed. The AT&T bloatware is much more in the update. It reinstalls itself if uninstalled as root. Worst is the AT&T Smart wifi app. Even if never used, it will override wifi sleep settings to sleep with screen off, increasing data usage and screwing up apps like voip and push IM(was that intentional AT&T?). Another iPhone in the making. To kill it, download system tuner after rooting and disable all check boxes for it under start ups and events. Now you quashed AT&T's control over your wifi. You can do the same to other bloatware to make it invisible to system and not startup. The annoying new boot sound can be killed with silent boot. The annoying launcher can be replaced, and used to hide other unwanted apps not in startup events, foisted upon you by AT&T. A swap file(via swapper 2) and aggressive oom kill settings can keep it going smooth for days without reboots. For battery meter inaccuracy, use battery calibration to delete stats file at 100% charge. Reboot a few times and notice it falsely go down. Now, wait for 10% or so supposed battery. Plugin to outlet. Use system tuner to wipe cache and dalvik cache. Reboot. Notice +20-30% battery added. You just fixed the battery meter :) Should work fine from here on in. If you don't want to root, I can show you how to use Green power free to override Smart wifi though it is a crude workaround that occasionally still allows connection interruptions, though keeps it going with screen off.
Despite all this, it is a nice upgrade and more stable than Gingerbread after these fixes. Voice quality is much improved, too. Use force 2D acceleration and watch the interface fly, with reduced battery consumption.
