Pinnacle Africa has just announced a new WP smartphone, dubbed Proline SP4. It's headed for the South African market and starting on January 30, the smartphone will be available in stores at a price of just ZAR999 ($87).
The Windows Phone 8.1 device features a Snapdragon chipset with a quad-core processor, Adreno 302 GPU and 512MB of RAM. The 4GB internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD. Screen size is 4 inches with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. A 4MP camera on the back is the primary shooter, and you get a VGA front unit, mostly useful for video calls. Rather basic specsheet, but adequate at the price point.
The dual SIM phone packs a generous 1,920mAh battery in a body measuring 125 x 64 x 10.6mm with weight kept at 125g. Replaceable back covers in a choice of white, green and orange will be available.
And if it all sounds familiar it's just because the Proline SP4 is merely a rebranded Blu Win JR.Source | Via
Everybody wants a Windows Phone in Malawi. Microsoft should try it here...
Good phone and price point but Android is the preferred operating system in Southern Africa.
And the BLU Win JR again is a rebranded Chinese smartphone.
