Xiaomi Android Firmware Updates

Xiaomi launched the Pocophone F1 with customized MIUI 9.6, called MIUI for Poco. The Nova Launcher lookalike brought faster UI animations, cleaner Android look and plenty of standard MIUI features like hiding apps or a quick drawer, sitting left from the Home Screen. Apparently Xiaomi is so proud of its product, it pushed the Poco Launcher to Google Play for all devices.

The Poco Launcher finally brings an app drawer to the MIUI feeling for a sleeker look of the home screen. There is a search for apps, and they all can be sorted not only by Install Date or Name, but also by color, if you recognize your stuff by the icon and not the name.

Since Poco Launcher is basically a facelift of the standard MIUI, you can customize the looks of the apps with several Icon Packs. You can also hide applications from the app drawer which is really useful if you own a device full of bloatware.

There are a few caveats though. The app is still currently in development and some features might experience bugs or be unstable. It is yet to be made official, meaning the availability is limited, but there are always platforms like APK Mirror to download the file and to skip the Google Play restrictions.
