Qualcomm Android

There have recently been rumors about the first devices powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset launching in late September, and that the SoC itself would be unveiled earlier than its predecessor, which was announced last October.

Today during its Computex presentation, Qualcomm confirmed that its next Snapdragon Summit is taking place from September 23 to September 25. The Snapdragon Summit is the yearly event during which the company unveils its latest and greatest Snapdragon chip, so it's settled.

With this in mind, expect the Chinese flagship smartphones using it to all be announced in late September to early October for the domestic market. Since the timeline has shifted, we wouldn't be surprised if their global launches took place earlier than they used to as well.

This will leave Samsung in a rather awkward position as it's rumored to launch its next-gen foldables in early July - only three months before the chipset they will use will get one-upped.

People adopt no matter what, doesn't matter whether old or new, it's about marketing that brainwashes people into thinking that they need the fastest thing on a phone.

There is NOTHINGwrong with their ISP. Just cause you. Ow see OEMS adding secondary processors doesn't mean anything other than. Practice and marketing towards creating their own SoC just like Xiaomi has done here in 2025
