Qualcomm will be holding an event on May 9 to announce its Snapdragon 660 chipset as per the event invitations (in Chinese) that were sent to the press. The Snapdragon 660 will ultimately succeed the 652, but two other chip models will be announced at the event, according to two leakers on Twitter.
I think you'll like what Qualcomm wants to show you on May 8/9, if you liked what they did with the SD65x and SD625.— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) May 4, 2017
We’ve seen leaks from Quandt before, and they’ve proven to be reliable. We’ve been seeing more rumors leaked by @mmddj_china as of late, and today is no exception. The Chinese leaker claims that along with the Snapdragon 660, Qualcomm will also announce the Snapdragon 630 and 635.
We know a little about the Snapdragon 660, though not much about the other two models. Perhaps the 630 and 635 chips are marginally different, though we can’t say for sure. All will be revealed next week when the event takes place on May 9.
but a35 is a5 a53 is a7 a56 is a15
crazy... where's 631 / 632 / 633 / 634 ... are they trying to teach numbers to everyone... crazy marketing gimik...companies have done well have to say... they have replaced 650 with 625... and at the same cost... good profits...
I there is one thing Qualcomm Snapdragon is known for, it is their poor naming convention. They rarely stick to a pattern and keep flip-flopping. Many of their chipsets get renamed often.
