Don't buy this phone because other phones of realme is running on Android 12 or 13 but realme 5i can get updates after android 10 it is still based on Android 10 only and didn't get updates even not got android 11 update ...

I used this phone almost 2Years and my problem is when i play games and you back it and you go to another apps even in a short of time and go back to the games the game will start again and didn't continuing like the minimizing of this phone is so poor🥱

Drops and knocks it... morei have the solution for washed screen without restarting the device... just use some flashligt then shine the light really close to the front camera (like 1cm) then the washed screen will become normal, black will become black not grey anymore...

I have been using this phone for about 2.7 years, the durability is great. Drops and knocks it will take it like a champ. Good battery performance as well, have used to get 2 full days when bought new, now about 1 day with call of duty gaming. Well the positives end there. The stock ui (color os 6, ugly but works) that came with the phone, android 9 was smooth although it had some bugs. If you update it, then the phone is trash. The android 10 update has really bad ram management issues, more than a few apps it lags, freezes up completely, and is unresponsive for a few minutes. The camera is not even worth talking about, its better not having a camera on this device. In apps like whatsapp it has issues with the keyboard not coming up, and several other fantastic bugs. Bottomline, don't update and u r good, dont try to install custom rom if u r inexperienced because it will brick it, I have had instances where I almost bricked it just by rolling back to cos 6
PS: One thing to note is the screen quality is really bad, if you have auto brightness on in sunlight, the screen will because white washed, even if you afterwards reduce brightness it will stay like that, blacks will be grey, greys will be white. I had to restart it everytime that happens to get it back to normal

I bought it 2yrs ago, doing fine, doing some heavy gaming too since Genshin come, often slips through my pocket but the durability is very good, prolly good for you if you looking for an secondary phone with reasonable price

Zachery, 14 Oct 2021Had this phone for 1 year and a half, it has become laggy and noticable frame drop when playin... moreI think if you buy a phone at least with Snapdragon 720G or any processor giving equivalent performance to it then it will be better for playing games. It has Snapdragon 665 which is not bad but may not be suitable for some heavy gaming.
By the way I play call of duty mobile on this phone, I play ranked tdm matches. I don't face any lag, my game settings are graphics on low and frame on high.
If you free at least 10 to 15 GB space on your phone then it won't lag. Also keep your phone and ram clean.
Clear the "cache" (not data) of your game and restart your phone before gaming.
Very minor lags sometimes may occur but frequent lags or frame drops shouldn't be there if you play on low graphics and high frame rate.

Whatever, 18 Apr 2022phone becomes laggy on every update, keeps glitching on every game, camera progressively gets ... moreIt is sad to hear your experience. I have been using this phone since April 2020 and so far I haven't faced any kind of issue in anything. It was working very well on Android 9 and even after android update 10 it is working well, no issues faced.
