Quality depends on the single main camera & software optimisation of the camera.
Software optimisation is the biggest factor in phone cameras.

mr bulbul, 07 Jul 2020yeah i have the realme 6i and realme 3, how come the night mode on 6i is terrible compared to ... moreI've Realme 3 too. Its camera used to be bad but Realme optimised it decently in Android 10 update. Now its picture quality is close to Gcam 7.4.
Quad cameraa doesn't mean all cameras are always on. Picture quality mainly depends on the main camera sensor. So having more cameras only adds extra features, not improve quality (mostly).
I know even 3 year old single camera phones that take better pictures than 2020 quad camera phones.
If you want good Nighsight, I recommend installing Gcam. Literally no brand stock camera can beat Nighsight of Gcam. I use onFire Test1.apk Gcam on Realme 3 and trust me, it captures more things than my eyes can see in dark.

Firstly, Redmi Note 9 has horrible camera due to poor aperture... moreyeah i have the realme 6i and realme 3, how come the night mode on 6i is terrible compared to my realme 3? so the phone released last year with dual cameras is still better than quad cameras? i don't even use macro camera, its just there to pad the spec sheet.

And no, it doesn't support 5Ghz WiFi. Realme said they didn't include it because 5Ghz isn't used much in India and its other major markets.

Firstly, Redmi Note 9 has horrible camera due to poor apertures (Gsmarena confirmed it).
Secondly, Redmi Note 9 has Helio G85 which has poor app optimisation. Its reviews are full of lagging complaints in many apps, including PUBG.
Helio G85 is only slightly more powerful than Helio G70, G80 - so chipset advantage is already negligible.
Thirdly, Redmi Note 9 has MIUI which is heavy - it drains more battery, offers lower performance and heats up more.
In fact, if you compare benchmarks by Gsmarena, Realme 6i gave higher performance than Redmi Note 9.
So as you can see, Realme 6i is a clear winner. There is only one good thing in Redmi Note 9 and that's IR Blaster.
FHD display isn't important at all. Don't trust people saying 720p is bad until you've seen the display yourself.
Real life example:
I've Realme 3 (720p) & my friend has Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 (1080p LTPS).
Even with LTPS display, you can't see any difference between his and my phone's display. Even he literally thought my phone had 1080p display when I bought it. That's how minor the difference is.

Henry Oladipo, 27 Jun 2020What about display..how is it.Stop listening to rumours and false info in this place. These days phone displays are generally good no matter the resolution and tech. Am using a redmi note 8 pro but I can easily by this phone without thinking twice or looking for some not well informed greed filled opinions that is all over this place. Considering the price of this phone, you have absolutely no reason to worry at all.
