Realme Android Announcement

Earlier this month, Realme introduced its Realme 7 series in India wtih the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro. Today, the company added a new member to the lineup, dubbed Realme 7i, which was detailed by the company's Indonesian branch through an online event.

The Realme 7i is powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC as opposed to the Helio G95 chipset on the regular 7. It packs a 6.5" 90Hz LCD like the Realme 7, but the resolution is down from FullHD+ to HD+.

Another difference between the Realme 7 and 7i is that the former comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, while the latter has it on the back. The Realme 7i, like vanilla 7, ships with a 5,000 mAh battery, but it maxes out at 18W charging instead of 30W.

The design of both smartphones is also different, including the arrangement of the camera module on the back, which is a combination of 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP monochrome and 2MP depth sensor units.

For selfies and video calls, there's a 16MP camera inside the punch hole. The smartphone also comes with UIS, UIS Max, and ultrawide angle video recording.

The Realme 7i is offered in Aurora Green and Polar Blue colors, boots Android 10-based Realme UI, and comes in a single memory configuration - 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It's priced at IDR3,199,000 ($215/€180), but early birds can get it for IDR3,099,000 ($205/€175). Sales kick off from September 18 through Realme's official Indonesian site. Availability in other markets is yet to be detailed.
