Realme Windows Laptops Announcement

It’s a big day for Realme as the brand hosts three events across China, India and Europe. Kicking things off is a new product category for the brand with the Realme Book (known as Book Slim in some markets) – the first laptop from Realme and the entire BBK Electronics group. It’s a slim and light 14-inch ultrabook with 11-gen Intel Core processors, Windows 10 and up to 11-hours battery life on a single charge. The laptop features a premium all-metallic build and comes in blue and grey colors.

The display features 2160x1440 pixel resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. Peak brightness is rated at 400 nits and thanks to the more squarish aspect ratio you can fit more vertical content on your screen which means less scrolling is required.

Intel’s 11-gen Core i3 and Core i5 processors are tasked with keep performance in check and they are paired with Iris XE integrated graphics. Realme also packed a dual-fan cooling solution to keep thermals at bay. There’s up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD storage.

I/O includes a Type-C USB 3, Type-C USB 4/Thundebold port, a Type-A USB 3 and a headphone jack. The laptop also comes with Wi-Fi 6 and packs stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.

The software front is covered by Windows 10 with a free upgrade to Windows 11 coming down the line. Realme is also bringing a neat PC Connect feature allowing you to fully control compatible Realme phones via Wi-Fi Direct.

The 54Wh battery is rated at up to 11-hours of endurance. The laptop comes with a 65W charger that connects via USB-C and should do a 0-50% charge in just 30 minutes. It’s also compatible with Realme’s 30W Dart Charge solutions found on its phones so if you happen to have one of those laying around you can travel with just one charge in your bag.

Pricing in India for the Intel Core i3 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at INR 46,999 ($632). The Core i5 version with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will sell for INR 59,999 ($807). Realme is offering an introductory price discount of INR 2,000 for both models. First sales start on August 30 at 12PM.

The 8/512GB Realme Book with Core i5 processor will cost CNY 4,299 ($663) in China while the maxed out 16/512GB trim will go for CNY 4,699 ($725). First sales there start a week from now on August 25.

Recently bought the Realme Book (Slim) From Flipkart. Granted this laptop is an Apple MacBook impersonator, but then I found how well the implementation was made and how close it went to a MacBook for its asking price. Renowned Youtuber Dave2d's...

Low grade attempt to distort the truth. Apple's transition to ARM was exceptionally smooth and there are already tons of apps that run native in M1. Lots of hardcore Windows users have noticed the class of M1 and have switched. The big blow to I...

I own one and I can say that your comment does not check out. This is the only Apple product I own and I'm not fanboying. I have several other computers and the M1 Air is still amongst the fastest of my devices.
