realme Android Rumors

Realme has been rumored to introduce the upcoming GT Neo6 to international markets in the coming weeks as the GT5 (so the Neo6 name would only be used in China). This model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Then, towards the end of the year, the brand would introduce the GT5 Pro to international markets, which would have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at the helm.

Today some more details about the GT5 Pro have been leaked in China from a usually very reliable source - the Weibo account that calls itself Digital Chat Station / Digital Chatter (depending on which automated translation service one uses).

Realme GT5 Pro camera details leak, including periscope zoom

The GT5 Pro is once again said to feature a periscope zoom camera, and this will apparently employ the OmniVision OV64B 64 MP sensor, with 3x optical zoom. That's not as much optical zoom as we're used to from a periscope as they usually go with 5x or 10x, but that's the rumor for now, don't forget to take it with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, moving on to the main camera, this will use a Sony IMX9 series 1/1.4" sensor with OIS. Interestingly, the OnePlus 12 is rumored to employ the exact same set of cameras, but with the usual Hasselblad improvements which the Realme won't have. This is no surprise since Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme are really close - and apparently getting closer by the day, and sharing a lot of parts.

That's all we know about the GT5 Pro so far. It's looking like a proper flagship offering, unlike the GT5 which goes the 'flagship killer' route from what we've heard so far, with a 6.74-inch 144 Hz OLED screen, 50 MP main camera with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro cam, and two battery and charging versions: 4,600 mAh + 240W and 5,200 mAh + 150W.

4,600 mAh + 240W and 5,200 mAh + 150W? Shouldn't that be the other way around?

The A xy lettered version were different from the normal A xy. Also I'm not not complaining about nearly the same phone with different names. I'm complaining about the exact same (minus the antenna bands). Also I always thought the A, M and...

No? Really? A34, M34, F34. Nearly all the same and region-specific. The same with 5X series, 2X series... Even 1X series get region-specific lettered versions for no use. S series are S series worldwide, why not others?
