Another Realme event is in the books and this one brought us the narzo 50 series alongside the Indian debut of the realme Band 2 and Smart TV Neo 32-inch. The two narzo 50 series phones pack 6.5-inch HD+ LCDs that sport a waterdrop notch though they utilize different chipsets, rear cameras and have a battery discrepancy which all favor the 50A.
Realme narzo 50A
Narzo 50A is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset and comes with 4GB RAM as standard while storage varies between 64GB and 128GB and can be further expanded via microSD cards. The phone brings an interesting design with a two-tone ridged and matte texture back and a big camera island which houses a 50MP primary camera utilizing Samsung’s JN1 sensor alongside a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP portrait lens. The selfie shooter comes in at 8MP.
There’s a beefy 6,000mAh battery cell inside narzo 50A which charges over USB-C at up to 18W speeds. The phone can also reverse charge other phones and gadgets via USB. Narzo 50A boots Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. Other notable features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.
Realme Narzo 50A comes in Oxygen Green and Oxygen Blue colors and starts at INR 11,499 ($156) for the 4/64GB trim. The 8/128GB model is priced at INR12,499 ($170). Firsts sales begin on October 7.
Realme 50i dials back to a Unisoc SC9863A SoC chipset and comes with 2/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage. The device boots realme UI Go Edition based on Android 11. It packs a single 8MP rear camera while the front house a 5MP selfie shooter. The battery department is headline by a 5,000mAh cell that charges over microUSB.
Narzo 50i comes in Mint Green and Carbon Black colors and starts at INR 7,499 ($101) for the 2/32GB trim. The 4/64GB model will see for INR 8,999 ($122) once official sales tip of on October 7.
Realme Band 2 and Smart TV Neo 32”
Alongside the new narzo 50 series Realme brought its Band 2 fitness tracker and smart TV Neo 2 to the Indian market. Smart TV Neo 32” brings a 1366 × 768 pixels HD display with 7 display modes, Chroma Boost Picture Engine and Android TV 9.0 with Chromecast Built-in. There are two 10W speakers with Dolby Audio support and a MediaTek quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Smart TV Neo 32” will go for INR 14,999 ($203). First sales are scheduled for October 3.
Being 28nm doesnt make it unusably laggy. What's bad is that 1.6ghz a55 core.
But he's right though. Even if nothing else, given how short the 50i will be usable, it's a disaster from an ecological/environmental point of view. It's exactly what the planet doesn't need right now (or any time in the future)
