In line with recent rumors, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will be made official next week. The confirmation came in the form of official press invites that reveal August 21 unveiling for the device. The CEO even posted images of the device!

The Note 5A has already been certified by China's TENAA. The listing revealed two major versions for the handset, having a 5.5-inch 720p screen (an LCD) and a 3,000mAh battery. SoCs are likely to be Snapdragon 425 and Snapdragon 430, while memory configuration is 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB.

The camera department for the better-specced variant is handled by a 16MP rear sensor and a 13MP front shooter. The other model features a 13MP/5MP combo. Pricing is expected to start from CNY 1,000 (around $150).

weird anouncing note 5 A before note 5 itself .... still i have high hopes for note 5 since the competition is tougher this year with lenovo k8 note going with high upgrade from helio p10 to x23 and dual cameras .
