Redmi Xiaomi Android Rumors

Xiaomi is already in full-on teaser mode for the Redmi Note 9T, the latest member of the vast and confusing Redmi/Note 9 family of smartphones. We've seen it getting benchmarked last week, and today more information about it has been outed from a few sources.

First up, we have the promo images you can see below, one of which talks about the handset's main specs. As you can see, it should have a 48 MP main camera, a 6.53" FHD+ hole-punch display, dual speakers, NFC, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. It's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, but we already knew that thanks to previous leaks.

Second, Amazon Germany has mistakenly already listed the device, and that's revealed other specs as well as EU pricing. The base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will retail for €229.90, while you can get double the storage space (and no additional RAM) if you shell out €269.90.

Amazon's listing also talks of a 90 Hz refresh rate for the screen, and outs the name of two color versions: Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple. It looks like the Redmi Note 9T is basically just a global version of the Redmi Note 9 5G that has so far been exclusive to China, with an upped screen refresh rate and less RAM.

The Redmi Note 9T is getting official on January 8, and is expected to run Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top.

What 4GB RAM like a 2015 phone? No thanks, 8GB or nothing.

Can you guys please stop drawing early conclusions. Amazon Germany has a big markup vs. the usual online retail prices. Xiaomi phones generally retail for 20-30% more. Final sale price will be under 200 Euros for the base model and at flash ...
