The Redmi Note 15 series has arrived to markets outside China a month or so earlier than the usual 12-month cycle Xiaomi uses. Still, according to Xiaomi, we can expect generational upgrades in more than one aspect. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the first phone in the series that we'll review.
But before we begin, we want to make it clear that the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is not the same as the international model we are reviewing today. In fact, the global version feels like a toned-down version of its Chinese counterpart, which has a dedicated telephoto camera and a larger battery. Then again, the global unit gets a tad faster charging and a bigger 200MP main sensor.
Back to the global Pro+, which is the subject of our review. Compared to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, it brings a larger and brighter 6.83-inch display, a newer and more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a bigger battery and higher ingress protection.
Some users will appreciate the bigger screen and will certainly make use of the upgraded 6,500 mAh battery. Sadly, the charging rate has been toned down from 120W to 100W, but as is often the case, charging ratings are only half of the story, hence why we are doing this review.
The camera system remains largely unchanged, although there's a new 200MP sensor sitting behind the lens. The newer model also brings some video recording improvements. We wish Xiaomi would finally retire the dated 8MP ultrawide camera.
Without further ado, let's take a deeper look at what the top-end Redmi Note has to offer.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ review unit we got has the appropriate 100W charger inside, along with a USB-A to USB-C cable. There's also a protective silicone case.
Keep in mind that in some markets, like Europe, the charger might not be bundled, so you will have to buy it separately if you want the fastest possible charging.
I bought it brand new from Mi Store for nothing (146€) in May 2025. UFS 3.1, LPDDR5... and 120W charger was shipped with phone !!
I feel like they should just discontinue this line of phones, especially since the Poco X series is still around. How different is this from the 13 Pro+ aside from the battery?
it's weird how note 13 pro+ is much better in almost every aspect. just compare the specs. read both the reveiws if you want to get more surprised. it's less than half the price of this blasphemy rn. also, I just can't help to undest...
