Get it? And the Zoom does give it strong competition. So does the NX and or Galaxy camera. But that is stepping outside of phones for the cameras with Android...never the less they are Android. And the Zoom is a phone so it's well within the limits.
AnonD-19190, 18 Oct 2013I love Sony This is a typical Sony fanboy's comment.
No logical / analytical based
I owned both LG G2 and Xperia z1
Based on my experienced and observation LG G2 is more comfortable in hand also easy to use the back buttons rathan than the side button on Z1.
Both good in camera quality.
G2 does better in terms of Colour accuracy.
In battery comparison
G2 lasted for 14 hours Browsing.
Z1 lasted 7.5 hours Browsing.
I love both...
Sony Xperia Z1 with the premium design????
There is nothing premium about the bar shaped smart phone.
The choice of metal and glass for the casing is not new either as Apple has already done so.
Well I don't wanna argue with Sony fanboys but this is why Sony is losing the market shares and the revenue.
They are no more creative and innovative leader in the electronic industry and certainly not in their strategic plans.
Wake up people! Stop paying for the brand name!

Not even c... moreA couple of points - AMOLEDs do have burn-in issues, it's a well documented by-product of the technology as it ages. The only AMOLED phone I've owned had burn-in where the clock and signal displays sat in the top right of the screen. It took a year to occur, but there it was.
Yes, you can tone down the colour gamut on modern Samsungs, which is a thoughtful touch - though the blue/green tint remains. And yes, blacks are blacker, no doubt. No arguments here.
But you're wrong on outdoor visibility - all three of the top LCD based Androids are brighter and more visible in direct sunlight than, say, the S4; It has been commented on more than once in a number of reviews and comparisons. My own experience with living with an AMOLED phone has taught me likewise - it was terrible outside.
But it's all preference, isn't it? I prefer LCD panels for the cleaner whites, more accurate colour balance and fidelity. S'just me.

And it's not nece... moreThe extra MPs aren't for resolution, they're for over-sampling. This allows for cleaner, crisper 8mp images with more detail and fewer processing errors. As the article above states, 8mp images from the z1 are cleaner and more detailed than the 13mp images of it's two competitors.
And to the other guy - I'm well aware of my own insecurities, ta :) I'm just procrastinating and avoiding finishing off some other work.
I'm well aware of the faults of the Z1 but they're NOT crushing faults and its strengths, for me, outweigh them. You may feel different. Good for you.

AnonD-186803, 19 Oct 2013What he said (below).
My priorities are different from yours. I don't like AMOLED displays... moreAmoled does not suffer from burn in. I t has the rare possibility for it to happen. Not even close to the same thing.
Amoled is saturated and LCD shows grey instead of black with lack of contrast.
The latest Amoled does not come at it's most saturated state. It comes some what saturated and has an option that sets it at near perfect accuracy, but still retains real blacks and contrast making it more accurate that LCD and is easier on the eyes.
Also Lg's and Sony's displays are also saturated. So they are saturated, weaker in sun, lack blacks/contrast, response times, saturation and accurate settings, and LCD consumes more power on an average basis.

The battery efficiency is staggeringly great, with an initial 18 hours of heavy usage a day for the first month. With the Note 3, battery stamina has been slightly improved. Even more efficient with its replaceable battery, getting a full 100% power restore in less than a minute after changing. The spent batteries are charged at home with a desktop charger. Much better than plugging in. No risk of theft or being forgotten. No need to carry chargers or power banks. Just that flat spare battery.
