Timaustin2k, 19 Oct 2013What he said (below).
My priorities are different from yours. I don't like AMOLED displays... moreDid you ever know AMOLED when proper tune, will display much accurate color due to it bigger color gamut than LCD.
Samsung is kind enough give user choices now under Display-Screen mode, you love standard vividness, just use auto Adapt display.
Others wise you can use Movie mode for accuracy in colors (this is well prove by a lot professional display review site, include DisplayMate), or even the professional photo for Adobe RGB color, Adobe RGB color is more warmer than actual by default. If you still prefer crazy over saturation color, the Dynamic option is still there. By mean time, Samsung even added in manual color adjustment mode under accessibility if you find all color not suite your need.

Experience, 21 Oct 2013The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are my reasons:
-It's easily the bes... more1) Actually the Z1 looks ordinary with its massive bezels especially on the ends. If the Z1 had G2 or even GN3 bezels I would agree.
2) maybe you should read the reviews again, while the Z1 was the best under some conditions it wasn't under others and the GN2 had a lot more features and better video (except at night)
3) In relation to build quality you should check GSMarenas Z1 drop test... the Z1 wouldn't even turn on.
4) Dust and water resistant... agreed.
5) I'll disagree on the os as android allows for launchers, icon packs etc and its all personal preference. Personally flat icons are getting really old.
Experience, 21 Oct 2013The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are my reasons:
-It's easily the bes... moreI understand personal preerence....But preference is not what you just did there.
-Best looking is all preference. And Just being glass does not mean it looks the best to everyone. Especially the usual large brick design.
-It's best at stills, but lacks a lot in software tuning. And the Note is best complete best in video. So untrue statement
-Preference of material used is not the same as build quality at all. That's trolling. The Note3 and G2 have premium high quality build quality too.
-Obviously water resistance is a big plus
-UI again is all preference....And again. Very untrue, fanboy, contradictory statement. The Sony UI is the most eye candy. If any were cartoon it would be the flashy one. So saying the plain one is cartoon and the flashy one clean does not make sense. And just because the other ones offer more function does not mean they are not clean and polished. Just means they are more capable.
That's like saying IOS is cleaner than Android just because it's simple. Where as even Android is just as clean and fresh...Just offers more function. In fact the argument even goes that Android has a more organized and direct/logical menu system.
And Note3 hard to recommend because some people supposedly complain about multi touch???
Could your whole thing be even more biased???
putraws, 21 Oct 2013agree 100%. And I think XZ1 is the best of all, It got waterproof feature which is very useful... moreThese comments confuse me. It's almost the same thing over and over. Supposedly Sony's UI is so much better while the others are cartoon or "colors"????????
Sony's UI is the more flashy one in the first place where as TocuhWiz...and LG's Touchqiz..I mean UI are more normal looking less flashy, but with more function and feature. Especially Samsung. Same as Sense. It's more eye candy, but a little less function.
It's a baffling contradiction.
dqb, 21 Oct 2013yeah right!! +1000000000000
and benchmarks for me are irrelevant, we know that samsung is c... moreWhy did you say benchmarks are irrelevant? Because all they do is what? Show what the chipset is capable of at best right? And what was Samsung supposedly caught doing? making benchmarks squeeze the best that it could out of a benchmark.....Oh god what an awful company...i hate them now.
However they are aware of this already and use benchmarks that do not fully push the limits and the Note3 still bests most of the tests.
[deleted post]They all have the same hardware and screen resolution. So it's a fair debate. Why are you so jeally over what was used and who came out on top in most?
Even the S4 S600 would hold a pretty good top here let alone the S800 version. It still has the best display out of the comparison, good enough graphics and speed, still best in software and features, and about the same as Note3 in camera.
Never the less all are great devices.
lilrick96, 20 Oct 2013I think IPS is better to. I see more sharpness on the g2 screen than the S4. It's just somethi... moreThe only way it's sharper is if you are viewing fine detail on a microscopic level.

And The ZU is definitely nice. However for having a "6.3 or 6.4?" inch Full HD display it's battery capacity is a little below par. It also is only a an 8MP cam...Which is not so bad really....But no camera flash is a total...WTF???????? But it is a awesome sounding device still. Water proof, s800, Triluminous.
Suggest everyone buy G2 or note 3 if you need a good battery life.
If you are a true Sony fan, Z1 is also great. If it has the ZL appearance, it would be better.
DannyO, 20 Oct 2013You can say a lot of things about the iPhone but when it comes to build quality & design, ... moreYour own personal preference of design and what material you like to touch is not the same as build quality.
You and millions of other trolls seem to keep blurring the idea of preference and build as one.
Phones like Nokia, Galaxy, and G2 which use strong durable premium plastic are built tough and have very strong build quality still. Tell me how strong that aluminum or all glass Iphone holds up when it shatters all over or gets massive scratches and dents please.
And just because you like the design of one device better does not mean the other ones are worse or ugly or any of the sort. just means it's not your preference.
And above all Samsung makes some of the most ergonomic devices. They are generally thinner despite larger removable batteries at generally higher capacities and fit and work in the hand better. It's how the phone works....not just how it looks alone.
The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are my reasons:
-It's easily the best looking handset
-Best Camera department including video.
-Premium built quality.
-Dust n water resistant
-Best UI; elegant, simple and clear, not cartoonish UI
LG G2 truly did an outstanding job! In fact, this is the first smart phone from LG that I seriously considered.
Samsung note 3 is hard to recommend, especially with all the negative comments about multi touch issues, that made many people question the quality of the whole brand.
DannyO, 20 Oct 2013As long as the note 3 and lg g2 are made of cheap plastic the Z1 is the superior phone here.
... moreIt's not cheap plastic. It's Poly Carbonate. It's Premium High Grade Plastic. It's also overall drastically more practical and generally more durable than aluminum and better than all glass body of every phone with glass except the Z1....
However even though the Z1 has really strong shatter resistant glass that survives falls....The internals take large suffering.

And as for sunlight that is when the S4 is not in auto brightness. At that point it's brightness level is anywhere from 100-200 nits dimmer than the others. And for being that much dimmer it still holds good ground. But when brought up to similar brightness level it well exceeds the competing LCD's.
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2013z1 is the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
g2 is not bad
note 3 is a phablet
... moreThe comparison is fair and nothing wrong.
If Note 3 need to kick out, then Z1 as well. Z1 screen is 5 inch but the whole phone is big in size, Z1 body size not much different than Note 3.
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2013z1 is the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!! g2 is not bad note 3 is a phablet ... moreWith same screen resolution and processor. It's not like its comparing a Full HD phab with S800 to a 720p phone with S600. And since it's screen is bigger that puts it disadvantage in battery comparison. So it's entirely fair. Besides it's still Android and a phablet is just a fancy word for a phone with a large screen.
TheNeighbor, 21 Oct 2013Thank you, Bunyip. The Note 3's screen really is something to behold. The crispness of its Sup... moreBecause for Sony fans, they got nothing much to fight back. The whole Z1 is not a great as they though and not much to revenge back.
The only they can said is AMOLED hurt eye, bad color reproduction, those false alarm.
They not even compare it, ignore all professional site review on how great the recent AMOLED display use by Samsung since S4.
[deleted post]In reality the Z1 and GN3 are very close in size so its fair enough to compare them. These 3 are the best phones from the respective manufactures after all.
The ZU on the other hand is a good device ruined by mcmassive bezels & very poor battery life.
