For me WP8 is the best...byebye android and IOS.
AnonD-168288, 22 Oct 2013You are focusing too much on the camera. Most people don't look at a phone just for its camera... moreWell, there are people who do need a good camera phone, and as close as to a DSLR photo quality as possible. Yes, Note 2 & 3 has lots of gimmicks that wonders people. But honestly, how often do you use those bloated features? Not to mention that those features are battery suckers. Do you really that big amount of sensors on a phone? Stylus? Not everyone prefer it. I prefer using fingers. Multi windows? C'mon, is still just only a 5.8" screen. I prefer Windows 8.1 multi windows on a tablet with bigger screen. And how often you watch video in a half screen mode and typing at the same time? I bet you will rather not to reply any message during the show. :)
AnonD-78488, 22 Oct 2013Can't wait for the 1020 and 1520 ultimate camera showdown..maybe gsmarena can have pureview battle royale: shoot-out of the best camera phones including the godfather 808.
Very surprised about the battery, didn't think Nokia was able to fit so big battery here. Granted, other manufacturers would have been able to put a lot bigger battery in that body size but for Nokia this is quite a feat. Improvement.
If they had done this also for Lumia 1020 then maybe it would have been visible on the sales statistics, I am sure the tiny battery in the supersized body has scared away millions of potential buyers.
RM - 938 can be t-mobile 4g compatible version? Nice to see that coming. I just those bands really match with tmobile 4g bands.
Do you realise he was trying to justify the 30 gms extra compared to note 3 after all comments below his complaining about weight......he never said this is better than or equal to note 3....and fyi the targeted audience would appreciate stuff like ms fresh paint, nokia refocus, nokia beamer, free ms office, free life time voice guided navigation, nokia storyteller, nokia video director as much they as they appreciate s-pen related features...and as far as just the stylus part goes, then this device can use fingernails, keys, empty pens, resistive styli, etc as just a basic stylus if you want ....so saying it stands no chance against note 3 is not very fair...

People really buy phones bright yellow ???
The only thing this Nokia lacks is Android operating system... Otherwise bit would have been the perfect phone. Wp8 sucks bit time.

You are talking about alleged built-in features that Note 3 lacks. The only thing worth mentioning is the Note 3 camera lacks OIS. It's not a DSLR to have a strict requirements to be great on camera. It has a host of features the gives great productivity that the Lumia or the Sony ZU will never have. Plus the S-pen is a league of it's own. You may not use it but others do. I don't use those features but again my usage patterns are not what others see in the Note series. Battery numbers are only numbers. If the phone can last longer than another phone with much larger battery capacity what does it matter to you? Screen size argument is silly, so you are saying the 5.7" is not good compared to a 6" screen? You do realize these are already way to big for the majority of users. By that argument the next phablet should like 10"? That should be great right? No, thought so. Again you are projecting your ideal specs onto others. Less fanboyism and more practical views will be helpful.

I know its a big device dats why it is a phablet, phablets are a niche of their own the people that will buy this device are in the same league of people that will buy the note 3 or the z ultra or the one max.

Most people don't look at a phone just for its camera, it's the whole set of features that matter to most. You need to get the phone that caters to your needs. Nokia is trying to market to a niche. It is no competition to the Note 2/3 let's be honest here.
I am buying this phone only for it's camera and the large size but my needs are not what others need. It's pointless to project your views onto others as their needs as well.
people keep comparing the size and weight of the 1520 to the galaxy note 3 but what you guys keep forgetting is that the phone has features built-in that the note 3 lacks. first u have a camera with a larger sensor and ois then you have wireless charging built in with a larger battery and a larger screen. I am seriously waitin for somebody to stuff all that in a much lighter smaller body than this
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2013Then how would you explain the success of the Sony Xperia Z1? That also has "huge retro ... moreHello. Thank you for your comment
yes the z1 has huge retro bezels.. but is a 5 inch phone .. it is still smaller than a note 3 ..
and anyway.. the z1 success is highly relative.. compared to what ? Note 3 or iphone sales ? It has a huge internet fan base.. most of them don't even own the phone.. some sales yeah .. but nothing out of this world ..
anyway.. this as a phone is to big.
I bought a mega 6.3 via internet.. its to big even for a internet device on the go with a secondary phone .. perfect indoors but as a phone is unthinkable ..
I think one day a maker will pull off a 6" phone , but we are talking here lg g2 bezels or smaller
its just to big man.. face it
Those low light pictures look great. But need to see a side by side comparison with the 1020 and 808.
Raw capturing is coming soon in 1520 and 1020!!They'll use Adobe's openly documented, non-proprietary Digital Negative format (DNG). Posted by adobe photoshop facebook page...this will be great!
Whoa! Look at that 2 secs super lag while opening camera and further one second lag while coming home and slowness to open story teller! Lmfao! Wp smooth?? Roflolol!!
