And the comparison is made to show highlights. It's already known the Note has the advantage. But the One has it's own few tricks and has a different appeal.
Some people like the Poly Carb and lots like the aluminum. Some like Touchwiz and others like Sense. Many people like the dual speaker set up as well, and louder stock headphone out put. Some people will prefer the clarity of the wolfson chip in Galaxy and like the best mobile display.
Also per battery charge the Max to a very strong surprise actually offers an advantage. Obviously I understand removable battery so don't foolishly point that out. To another point. Some people could care less while others realize it's a great benefit.

Haha. I can't even believe they are actually trying to compare the htc one max with the total BRILLIANCE of the Galaxy Note 3 which is miles better in just about every way! Best phone on the market right now by far!

Not as much as the G2's IPS. And again uses a process that at times creates too dark or too washed out of contrast.
Black clippings is not a prominent issue. It's even safe to assume a lot of people confuse low qualities images and True/deep blacks/contrast as such issues.

Lumia 1520 also fits in 6" category and should also be compared to these two. Just sayin.

I had a Note 2 and it... morehow can you say the note 2 was a bad experience?? the note was the best handset on the market for nearly a year due performance and battery life. i charged my note 2 once a day and was on it all day long streaming and using the internet

The IPS on the LG G2 has oversaturated colors but the SLCD3 on HTC One has almost perfect calibration. Much better than Amoled panels Samsung makes. The Amoled panels also suffer from black clipping which isn't very nice.

According to display mate .com , galaxy note 3 is has brighter amoled screen ever produced.
