Hey GSMArena, have you seen this?
I haven't checked other drop tests yet, but could you guys post one? Not sure if the iPad Air would really break on soft ground.
What good is 64-bit when it's limited to 1GB DRAM and suffers from low memory crashes and apps closing in the background along with your work when task switching? I'll pass until Apple decide not to cheapen out on DRAM. Also, 32GB flash memory should be standard.
bobby21, 10 Nov 2013Just ordered the ipad air. I quality, so there is no other tablet that comes to mind. You will be happy with apple logo .It is normal.

... moreHow come some 4cylinder engines are faster than some V8 cars? Only half the cylinders?!?
Because of many factors, but it happens often with clever design.

No Google Apps, No way of transferring your Android purchases over. Tell me, why would someone want to invest in what is possibly a THIRD ecosystem for them??
Plus the iPad mini 2 is out soon.

Amazing how Apple gets away with BS when companies like SOny produced are better sleeker looking tablet over 6 months ago with a much more powerful CPU and graphic card and this crap is glorified because its an Apple
The new kindle fire hdx 8.9 got a very solid 4.5 stars from ACTUAL USERS, not from TABLOID cool-aid blogs.
The quality of the screen is second to none. It's so beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, amazing, incredible. It put the iPad air to shame.

I show S4 users my Z30 and they are surprised just how good it is and without all the excessive bloatware of the S4. Many prefer the BB 10.2 OS for is efficiency and function as a better overall experience.
On the subject matter, it is easy to appreciate the superb looking new ipad. Since the first iPad they have lost weight, got faster and with better screens but not much else - camera?. I still have an iPad 2 which works just fine, but would like to see real new software developments and telephone function before upgrading. There is no reason to make a change right now.

So not even close, bad stuff for kindle was "not access to play store", so why buy it?
"The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a solid device and an improvement over last year’s model. It's fast, light, and has a great display, but it doesn't really measure up to an iPad Air or even a modern 10-inch Android tablet when it comes to actual functionality."
The iPad Air is AMAZING but very hard to come by in my country as the shops are always out of stock! This is so annoying!! I need an iPad Air NOW!!
The new Amazon kindle fire HDX 8.9 will put the iPad air to shame. It has a stunning screen with high contrast ratio. It is so light that it make the iPad air feel like a tank. Also it is very fast with 2gb of ram and snapdragon 800. For those people that worry about battery then you will happy about it. It make the iPad air look like a kid toy with amazing 12 - 18 hrs.

Exactly, im sure other OEMS are very frustrated seeing what Apple did for fullsize tablet, after Air others have very hard to sell their tablets. Its interesting to see what other OEMS bring to market in next 6 month, i think all of them went back to drawing board after seeing iPad Air.
After week iPad Air share is already 1.20% from all the iPads, its getting average 0.10% every day. After next week it might be 2% already.
I've shown many of my friends how to use Swype in their new S4 and Notes. They are moving from BB and very busy people with little free time to tinker with their gadgets so this 'revelation' throws them off the charts, ecstatic. They make many relevant notes with their work; draft very lengthy decisive company documents and their devices have helped them to become very productive people. Their gadgets are their productivity tools.
I don't own any Android products. If I have to choose, I'd buy flagships from Sony. Anyway..
I have the 1st iPad (kids used it), and iPad3. I use my iPad3 for drawing with Paper, photo vector tracing with Ideas and with my Nikon D700 they are match made in Heaven. My iPads are my productivity tools.
Some people use iPads as their alternative for home library: where they'd need a room full of books and can't bring with them when they're out of the house, now they can. They read a lot with their iPads, it's their productivity tools.
I and those people pay for our gadgets with our own money.
I try to not get irritated by people who use their tablet and whatnot only for show, browse internet to kill time and compare specs, and many who even not paid for it.
No, I really try. But it's so hard.
Apple finally got it right. The iPad air is the first iOS device in our family of mainly android devices (except for one Nokia s40 phone). We were all prepared to get an android tablet, but the site and weight of the iPad got us interested. Once we tried it out in stores, it blew us away with its speed. I had expected my HTC one to be much faster due to the quad core processor.
