How is the sunlight visibility that bad? I thought they released that test showing how superior it was in sunlight.....Was that finally debunked us a fake or something? It did not seem that far fetched.

The first words of your review are profound: "Lagging behind Android in hardware specs for what seemed like ages".
Not efficiency or productivity, or usefulness, just specs.
This preoccupation with so called top end specs to drive an Android flagship is unsustainable. Why because of the perpetual expectations of increase specs when we actually are getting now just marginal increases in actual benefit with Android plus potential security and hacking issues.
So all the extra power, and new screens reach a point where their marketing usefulness goes backwards. 8 cores with Android - what for, just to give a smooth os experience and play a crappy game - why pay for that.
Given the inherent efficiency of WP v Android, a WP device of same spec is likely to be quicker, if you like the WP device. Perhaps the upgrade will help.
Me - I will stick to my Z30 Blackberry because it does the job in a secure and efficient manner without the google spyware.
Good one Nokia.

"We do miss a few options however - like setting a starting point other than your current location and downloading maps for an entire continent.", that is a big problem in Europe with many small countries!
Android have many good alternatives for lifetime offline voiceguided navigation that cost less than the cost of Here maps that is included in the slightly raised cost of the Lumia-phone! Metro-ui use gigantic fonts... that waste the gigantic screen-space!
Nokia still use uncomfortable too sharp 4 cornars!

I don't understand the mediocre "display in sunlight" test results. I thought the apical assertive display technology would make it the best preformer in this particular test. I guess I was mistaken.

Such a gorgeous and sturdy device. Other devices don't stand a chance against Nokia's design.
Don't be so sure Nokia is leaving us so soon, GSMArena.
