A lot better then the more expensive Xperia C (330$ vs 200$)
I thnk it dosnt hav a good quality of camera at low surface as nokia nd its internal cpcty is low nd non upgradable.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2013'Sad?' I wouldn't even rate it that high!@ MM
I should have added that you press down on the screen for a second to bring up the settings menu.
MM, 12 Dec 2013the camera is sad. *sigh*@ MM
I have found the Galaxy S4 (Google Edition) camera app that works fine on the Moto G, and it greatly improves the quality.

i m sold out for excellent audio quality and excellent call quality... thickness of d phone helps put in a excellent speaker.
Would not mind paying just a little extra for better camera quality.
Kendall, 11 Dec 2013Moto G fame Wont last for long.. Samsung and Nokia are releasing Low end smartphones in Q1. Wi... moresource or GTFO! both companies cannot produce the this type of phone at this price

Well, first of all kudos for the review GSMA. Though, there are some mistakes. Like 316 ppi in first page and 326ppi in the other page. And you have mentioned 8mp camera somewhere. Please correct them.
Now coming to the phone, its really bang for the bucks! Except for the expandable storage. Wish google n moto shud ve included one. Apart from that, the phone ticks almost all the boxes. Really waiting for this phone to launch in india.
Its time for motorola to show the world that they are the inventors of mobile phone.
nice job Moto..
after moto x should be moto y. does anyone remember their alphabets. x,y,z. lesson given. moto g=gg
I am not sure about "bangs for bucks". As we have seen from earlier Android devices, the lack of internal memory, RAM and card slot, renders an Android device quick to the rubbish bin. So far as cloud is concerned, I am uncomfortable not knowing where my data and information is, and who has access to it. This is a mobile for kids perhaps, but I would be very wary of putting all my eggs in a Goggle basket. I don't trust them with their built in spyware and as noted from the PRISM scandal,Google leaks like a sieve.
Anonymous, 11 Dec 2013Well for 15-20€ more you can buy Xperia S that has much better camera, double or four times mo... moreI don't really care about the jb browser, in the play store there are many capable browser available. Nor care about NFC Bluetooth and WiFi covers pretty much everything. Nor the camera, i have a good Nikon 1 camera. Nor the storage, USB OTG is available. Your xperia s is a 2012, 2 generation old phone. and chipset is also not much capable. Maybe the xperia s has more number of PPI but that doesn't mean better screen. Moto g has 4.5 inch IPS LCD not backlit LCD (and everyone knows how cool your xperia LCDs are), and GPU is much better than the xperia, adreno 305 over 220

The battery on xperia s are poor,it only triumph in camera department. That said,it depend on what user want,i already had a good camera phone,i'll rather have the moto g has my backup phone and it will certainly have great update, compare to forgotten flagship of sony.
Nexus 4 over this phone anyday. At least you'll get an AC adaptor LOL
No matter what the haters saying I'm buying it.
Good value, but I really don't like the Google-esque design. Last year's RAZR design was much much sleeker.
As an owner of this device I can confirm that this offering from Motorola represents outstanding value for money and is a superbly engineered device. Anyone who has been considering a more expensive device should certainly consider this one first.
Well for 15-20€ more you can buy Xperia S that has much better camera, double or four times more storage (depending on Moto G version), better software package (Sony Walkman and other media apps are much better than stock Google), sharper screen (same res, smaller in size), better build quality, better design, NFC, both Chrome and default Jelly Bean browser, dedicated microHDMI port, hardware shutter key and access to PlayStation store. Despite it being "stuck" at 4,1 JB, Xperia S is clearly more bang for buck.
