I don't mind waiting for the UK updatebut the rollout appears to be a bit confusing.
We have 3 Moto Gs in our house bought in the following order
1st - 8GB sim free from phones4u.
2nd - 16GB Tesco Pay Monthly.
3rd (my handset) - 16GB Tesco pay as you go - unlocked and clashed with stock UK ROM.
The only handset to have received the UK update so far is the 16GB Tesco mobile one. I thought having a stock ROM means you get the updates first so Im very confused.
I can only guess that the update is being offered to certain batches of IMEIs at a time to reduce server loads.
Can anyone shed some light on this odd situation.
Anyway I just want to say that there is smart dialing. Just enable it in settings. It was part of the 4.3 update. Moto G is sure to have it, using stock Android and all. Already confirmed this on another site.
this is a great budget phone. but acts like an S3 on speed. and now the Kitkat update is out in the uk. great phone must buy. budget price, high end performance. well done motorola.
I plan on getting mine this week. Like others have said, it is a bargain because it focuses on essentials. No LTE - minor niggle.
Just one thing though: 4.7" is becoming the smallest screen outside of an Apple device. This is a shame I feel.
Hi All,I m looking for moto g can anyone say when it will launch in jan at India. All the specifications are super, Is 2070mha battery will ok for 4.5inch screen? I think so there will be less battery backup in this moto g.
heart robber, 15 Dec 2013I heard somewhere that the moto g has a laggy performance. Is this true or not?? Not true at all. My husband's s3 is AWFUL!
I love my moto g! Amazing phone, great price. I had a xperia SP and a lumia 820 before moto g.
Mikey, 27 Dec 2013I mean is the moto g better then the samsung s3 performance wise? Not quite, the S3 is still the better phone, but you can't get a new S3 for the price of a Moto G :)
any body have idea when it will available in india?
Is any pre booking happening in india?
Too much disappointed. it's 27th December and still no news about the release in India. Even their fb page is also not saying anything but "will be released in early January".
Any Android device that that now does not have at least 1.5GB Ram, and 8-16 GB internal memory, plus expansion slot, is doomed to the rubbish bin. Regardless of brand, dont waste your money on a device with such an early built in drop dead date.
Sony Xperia Z1 Mini, HTC One Two Mini, Samsung midrange phones also coming in 2014
