AnonD-157380, 21 Dec 2013GSMArena, cvan you please stop making us cry everytime we read a lumia review??I also felt the same way! Anyway, I'll make my Lumia 1520 last for at least two years until Nokia is given the permission to produce Nokia-branded phones again (especially the Lumia series).
I didn't also know that it has the most phenomenal battery life among smartphones today! But I think the 107h rating can only be achieved by removing the Glance feature and Tap To Wake feature. With those, I think it will only be around 65-75h.

I'm also a note2 user planning to move to 1520. I've some questions please answer them :
1. How is the headphone audio quality compared to note2.
2. How is the headphone audio loudness ? Compared to note 2 ?
I like everything that 1520 offers. But want to know the headphobe audio quality more as gsmarena says audio is little distorted and only above average.
A comparison to note2 would give a better perspective.
Also if you are running a graphic intensive gane for 30 mins is any portion (top, bottom, middle) of the phone :
Warmer ?
Hot ?
Uncomfotably hot ?
Thanks in advance....

super battery life.. O_o ..... super wow!
And for the trolls asking for a comparison between 520 and 1520, my kind advice first go compare 520 with an s4 or note3 then come back and express how the ride was ;) For the record, I own both the s4 and note2.
The good news is although the battery is whooping 3400mah, and also the store guys were little doubtful if my existing charging plate (purchased for l920) could charge the device fully overnight - it amazingly just did and did only under 3-4 hours I guess!!
Edit: a quick tip. Although I have purchased the yellow matte one and this tip is more useful with the glossy constructions, lay a soft cloth or a spare hanky on top of your charging plate before you place your device on the plate. This would ensure that you don't get any scratches in the rear of the device (due to the friction when you place or grab up) the area where the device gets into contact with the plate. I got my glossy l920 scratched so now Im more careful with the l1520. Hope this helps someone.
Couldn't resist anymore. I ended up buying this beauty for 42k from a local store here in India and man the display estate is just amazing!!! Little bigger but then I am a past user of both note/note2.
Edit: interestingly the gsmarena posted a full review for the device only after 30 mins of my purchase. It was a good read. Thank you gsma!!
HI Tech.CHEF.
Can your note 3 beat 107H battery endurance test?
I think you need to use powerbank.
Good one gelvin.. :) guess tech whatever his name is..finding it hard for a comeback Lol.. BTW can't wait to get this beast....

i am using wp8 these few months, at first i was really bored with the phone, since i came from an android, but i like it already now, all the apps that i have are already available, wp8 phone is not a toy, its more on a tools, you only use it when you need it. although its not fast, its smooth, yes, the phone is not fast, its just smooth specially in multitasking, but i heard that in wp8.1 they will improve it. and by the way,my low range phone already recieved an update 3 times, and 2 times more next year :) and its 11 months old
[deleted post]WP8 has nothing but widgets on the home screen. They just have a different name, "live tiles."
[deleted post]Still trying hard to understand but you are not understanding my point. It's a useful app which is not optimized for a 800(if I am right) and it used HERE maps and camera as it's basic functions.
There you go, you started trolling. The second you start trolling, you are considered as a waste of my time so try hard here too but it doesn't matter ;)

It depends upon how you define a 'feature'
I already showed my arrogance towards the definition of 'feature' in your mind. What I wrote is the difference between an L800 and an L1520. Although, I have never seen a L800 in real life.
A)Specs are not only for multitasking. There are different cases. Like I mentioned mine as support of high graphical games. Considering Windows Phone 8 is on durectX developer while Android and iOS are on OpenGL.
B)Pardon me but I didn't understand how this point is related to my post.
C)Nope! They are more expensive because of the hardware being expensive enough than the hardware of a 520, 620. This is my assumption though. I have not seen any L900 or L800 in real life. Back-up your claim please
D)I don't know about everyone since I am not "everyone" but call quality is excellent on my 1020 even on Loud speakers.
You are right here. 1520 is not my taste. It's a phablet and hence can't be my primary phone. It's size is just too much huge for my pocket as well as hands. It's hard to make calls and do SMS from it. I thought of buying ti before but I'll wait for the Note 3 since I haven't find much of a difference from my Note 2.
"What is the difference between the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 1520??"
Ok! Since I have tried explaining you and you just can't understand simple English. We will play this game by your rule.
What is the difference between an S3 and a S4? A Note 2 and a Note 3? A Galaxy Core Plus and a Galaxy Core Advanced? A Galaxy Note 3 and A Galaxy J?
AnonD-134497, 20 Dec 2013It depends upon how you define a 'feature'. As my attempts to make you understand about the go... moreContradicting yourself. Intelligence and knowledge of WP shows that;
A. The "specs" difference has 0% effect on the performance because the platform has no multitasking (active) so it doesn't need 0.1Hz more speed, 1Mb more memory to perform any task than it needs to load a single app.
B. I see pictures everyday on Facebook, Twitter, etc; if it's not professional (in which case you use a Sony, Canon, etc) that's where it pretty much ends up. What this means is that, apart from it sitting in our phones and getting wiped eventually, anything 4Mp up is good
C. 7.8 funny enough is only rebranded 8.0 with a few tricks and the "new" factor; hence why the Lumia 800 or 900 will always be more expensive than the 520, 620
D. Does anyone ever talk about the call quality, signal reception, messaging input, output, security like finger print sensors, multi Windows enabling, connectivity option optimization????
By the way, the screen size is the blowing up factor! What does it add apart from clumsiness with the edges?
Except you have something real or forgetting something useful, I ask the question again;
What is the difference between the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 1520??
[deleted post]It depends upon how you define a 'feature'. As my attempts to make you understand about the good of a Windows Phone, they were worthless because of your stubborn nature but oh well!
-Main feature is Windows Phone 7 to Windows Phone 8
-From even below 720p to 1080p
-From 512MB of RAM to 2GB of RAM
-From a normal camera to the PureView camera
-From 3G connectivity to 4GLTE connectivity
-From nowhere to an app like story teller
-From the support of 8MP cameras to a 20MP camera
-From a single core to a quad-core jump
-From 1450mAH battery to 3400mAH battery.
-From a 3.7inch screen to 6inch screen.
Anything else?
AnonD-197784, 20 Dec 2013Gsmarena should save the review title for the new Finnish flagship; Jolla!
This is more lik... more"This is more like an American turtle! An overblown 800, a waste of hardware without any notable feature addition."
Of course it's a waste of hardware. Windows Phone 8 doesn't require a dual-core to run games and apps, smoothly. It's a total overkill for a Windows Phone device just like the 64-bit processor in iPhone 5S. However, you ever heard about the more high graphical games you want to play, the more power you need. This line should correct you.
"Not even a file manager! Or decency of making pictures from tiles collection! Or even a simple Bluetooth transfer open compatibility."
File manager is a big draw back. I miss that a lot. As we have seen the rumors, the File manager is on it's way to Windows Phone 8 with Windows Phone blue update. Just like the recent Lumia black update. I am happy I got the old 808 photo processing algorithm back. The bluetooth limitation problem is long gone in Windows Phone 8. I can't remember the article right now.
"It's a total shame!"
Why?
"By the way, after weeks of release, we have less than 10 actual users reviewing it on the user review pages."
Nope! I have seen the review of 1520 long ago on Engadgert, WPCentral, Pocketnow, BGR, CNET and now on GSMArena. Have you ever tried Google before posting?
"It does one thing well though; points out low IQ individuals (anyone who "upgrades" to this)"
I would take this as a personal attack to the users of Windows Phone because of your hatred towards Nokai and Microsoft including me. Please behave like a decent person. Thank you
