The designed should be considered again. Many people didn't realize that when they buy something, design take a big part in decision.
this phone will do great because of the dedicated community behind it. Already 2 upgrades in 3 weeks. i see a bright future even though its still buggy in beta. cant wait to buy one when it becomes available in USA

Not everyone is alike, people have different preferences. I like this phone, so I will try it soon. I've been an Android user for two years now, my experience with the OS was good but as you know, Android gobbles a lot of user data and fails to be a resource efficient OS as it lags, sometimes drains the battery pretty soon and ridiculous permissions required by even simple applications are the things I don't like about Android OS, that's why I find Sailfish OS much better than that. Good day to you.
I had a Nokia N9 and it was an awsome phone. The gesture navigation after u you get used to it, it's wonderful and you will never want something else. Now i have a windows phone (lumia 925) and this OS it a piece o crap- very unintuitive, very confusing and it's very hard to do even the simplier tasks. I want a Jolla phone!
I'm still not sold on the gesture based UI. I'd prefer buttons, whether hardware or onscreen to prevent finger fatigue.

Wow! What a fantastic phone...
... if it was 2011.
I have a feeling they're trying to copy Apple's recipe for success (older hardware with awesome software at premium prices), unfortunately, that only works for Apple.
hmm..its design is more like lumia 900 and 925...OS display give cheap look...
I dont'like it very much. Also, we don't need another os, too much fragmentation, too many app vesions needed. They should think about making actual os'es (android and iphone) working better, rather than making other (immature) platforms.
Not bad at all for a debut phone (remember the first iPhone or the HTC Dream?)... Promising interface and finally an OS that doesn't take the consumer's intelligence for granted (love the gestures).
It surely lacks a killer feature, and i don't like the swipe based ui. I would never buy that over an s4 mini or xperia sp, which also cost a lot less.
nice try with the ui but horrible hardware this phone better retail at $150 tops
Jolla didn't use cheap stuffs to build the phone, it's a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that's running the phone. It has 4G support too but it will be activated after an update. This phone has already received two software updates since the phone released, and the OS is gonna mature pretty soon if Jolla continues to push updates whichwill only make the phone better. The OS is NSA free and it offers real multitasking. However, price is little bit high but it adds an array of possibilities using other halves, so this is the first phone of a kind to feature it.
It looks like a hybrid between WP & Android. I somehow feel there is a WP feel when watching the video, only different icon for apps.
Well, probably the OS is good but the price is not justifiable to sell at that range.
