This phone has different display tech, first off it is IPS LCD, the Xperia S was TFT LCD like the rest of the xperia range. This phone also has the benefit of triluminous/X-reality tech. Quite frankly, the screen will be awesome! Goodbye trolls!!

Am using note 3 previously using z1 and find sony UI more beautiful eye catching palain and fluid then touchwiz. Hardware is very premium too. I don't know why sony is not selling well.
Jst one thing where samsung feels good is the screen. Sony seems washed out. Rest the sony is way way better.
Am using sony ported launcher and apps on note 3 coz touchwiz is jst too useless bulky , bloaty and ugly

Still not mini enough. It's as large as the smartphone I used to own, and that one didn't have mini in its name...

Bump up to 32GB internal is nice. But i prefer the headphone jack on the side (makes phone far more comfortable in landscape with headphones plugged in). And no ones wants carrier branding on their phone (I wouldnt think haha)

Yeah ...well done sony .Finally some who really understands concept of mini,only decreasing the screen size ..cant except to squeeze battery because of foam factor understood , now just waiting for the battery test otherwise perfect phone i have been waiting for.. hate my 5 incher's

Please do mention the Wi-Fi signal as well, is it as bad as XPERIA Z or perhaps it's just firmware issue which happens on XPERIA Z?
I found out the Wi-Fi signal on 4.3 Jelly Bean XPERIA Z becomes more stable and stroger than ever before, not sure it is true or not.

You have new technologies like X-Reality Engine and Triluminos display which will give You a better viewing Xperience
To really know the difference go to the store when the Compact is out and compare it to the S
