Nokia N73 vs. Samsung D900 vs. SE K800 Comments

since i got a s700i ive been a big fan of sony camera phones, which have long been superior to nokia camera's. however, the nokia has seen vast imprivements to their cameras. the samsung camera seems to pale and not focused properly, leaving a good competition between sony and nokia. however, the nokia camera, while the quality has come in leaps and bounds, seems too enhanced and coloured too much. a close competiton, with sony coming first in my books, but watch this space beacause nokia seems to have gotten its camera act together!!

SE camera is good as always but there is also improvement in nokia's camera. Dunno..but i like the natural look of pictures from SE K800i.It is near to digital camera quality. At first if you see from the small thumbnails, it seems to be nokia won, but when you see the pictures in larger size, you can see that nokia only add more colour to make the pictures brighter but the shaprness is less than K8001 pictures...nokia is just to colourful i think. However, featurewise, i like nokia more than SE. Anyway it is impossible to get everything perfect.

east and west sony ericsson is the best. nokia and samsung should improve their sets in every aspect.samsung is little bit good and slim but nokia pay no attention to the size they always make huge sets i advice nokia to make slim and small sets.they should pay attention to the look of the set so keep it up sony ericsson now you should also pay attention on the video resolution.

hi this hemnath from india. I am SonyEricsson Lover. But i have to make it nuetral. Let me put it in my way. Everybody knows that Sony has a very good camera. Since they are sony, who are also used in manfacturing cameras and video cams, but this purely reputation. Nokia is mathching with.
coming to the point. I saw a review in GsmArena, when they compared N93 with K800. both the were good in the department. one competiting each other. But in the video recording side N93 is the giant. But K800 did well to competate with N93.
If K800 can be competative with N93, then how it can loose to N73. But i agree that the pictures taken by the K800 its not of great quality, this may be because the firmware may sucks wait for the new firmware. The phone might react in some other way.
its a tough choice K800 or D900. since sony and samsung has its own drawbacks. I would like you prefer K800 because it red eye removal and picture editing facilities, also i dont like the sliding model.
I would say
Sony K800 >= D900 >= N73 in camera wise
and in feature wise
N73 > K800 > N73.
sorry for the nokia lovers, make nokia to improve their camera. and also the design. Eventhough the design of K800 is not so great, but its far better than D900 or N73.
Let one day we can say NOkia rules.

im realy impressed with nokia,they are improving in all ways..but i still have to say se rules!like my freiend always says nokia doesnt have a clean and polished look..so k800 is the one.though i find it ugly the finish is better than n73.samsung need to bring new styles.

I have a DSLR and several film cameras. Those three camera seems useless. However, K800 looks better than other two.
1)K800
2)D900
3)N73
N73 does not have sharpness. Interesting thing is that D900 gives low noise and more details than other two if you see indoor pictures.
Color correction takes long time in photoshop work, but you may edit your picture's color as you want. But, you can not increase sharpness since the detail does not exist in the original pictures.

I like Nokia, but I like SonyEricsson more.
I think that Nokia's fans should wait a little bit longer for the quality regarding multimedia(photos, music and otherz).
Nokia is always a step behind. I used to be a Nokia fan some time ago.
And regarding the GSMARENA'S TEST I say that only SE K800 takes photographs and the otherz are just taking pictures. There is a big difference.
Maybe the only real competitor for SE K800 is SHARP 903.

omg just see the picture of the violet flower, how can someone say nokia is better!!??? nokia took the picture with really fluorescent colors that doesn't exist on the nature, is like a cartoon flower, omg!!! awful, nokia again at the bottom, and samsung mediocre... so k800 of course, perfect

Nokia defenitely better, others crappy mobile cameras produce blurry photos with weak colors. Judge by yourself!

the pic sharpening feature in nk73 makes the pics taken look fake. just look at the tree leafs in pic1 and the handphone in last pic. but i must commend on the rich color the nk73 manages to capture. overall, k800 still wins, just by a little.
i will still go for nk73 because it's much more stylish and simpler. no sharp angles and bulging parts like the k800

thats why i meant. nokia have improve alot in one year, they think "walkman" means the best mp3 or "cybershot" the best camera, they say nokia sells becaue its NOKIA but take this as example, people buy NOKIA before they had a NOKIA before and proved to be good, so they say this "if had one before it was good, why not to repeat it?"
now nokia its doing good cameras and they can't accept nokia beat the "cybershoy" branding, hands down.

yep, i agree with u guys.. Nokia has really improved a lot in multimedia capabilities specially in music and imaging department. That's why people still believe that a true phonemaker is NOKIA.

i don't know if you have read nokia reviews recently.. but all the reviwers states nokia have reached the quality in sound of the walkman branded phones... walkman wins because its more customizable interface. even they state the n91 its clearly better in quality.
you people can't say sony ericsson its surely better just because its branded "WALKMAN". or say the camera its better just because ITS "CYBERSHOT" you seen the pictures here and nokia took better pictures!just in the first page its most solid proof, all the pictures in that page nokia are the best of the three in all of them... nokia was a bit weak in the second page, but it green colros its more accurate than sony ericsson it pictures have no purple fringing.. and the flash its not that strong but good enough.

sony is better as always when it comes to camera and sounds.
it's is very close to what we actually see and it is the best while taking the pics of moving objects.

nokia rocks like anything...
you people havent used the phones and talk loud about them....
i'll tell you it goes...
all the n-series phones of nokia rock there is no doubt about it...
SE too rocks....but people have not seen the strenght and durability of SE phones. these phones are very weak in body when it compares itself with nokia...
the camera is no doubt good...in fact it is some wat the same type as the N73...
samsung comes no where near these phones...they have got to improve alot...if they wanna compete...brands like SE and NOKIA...
as a professional mobile phone user i must say that even after using all of the phones (N73 and K800) i must say that SE is good aswell as nokia...both the brands have got their plus points and minus points...
so i must say the rankings are:-
1st- nokia AND sony ericsson

if you compare k750 pics with the n73 the colors are almost the same... you sony ericsson fans say n73 colors are unnatural but then so its the k750. that plus the n73 pictures are more sharp.. i really wish to gsmarena to comment... thats lame that did not when nokia its doing good...
