I'm little bit disappointing about design. There's few cool features, but... I know many, many, many people that wants metal shield instead of plastic or this perforated leather. :/
I had S3, now I have S4, and I'm really not sure that I will change it for S5. This is not what I had hoped for.
I don't see Apple, HTC, Sony using cheap plastic in their flagships. Samsung is unable to get real. Just waiting a "fake" Galaxy S5 "mini" and other 20 variants, that in two years Samsung will say: "We can't update to the new Android because the Galaxy S5 has only 2GB RAM".
AnonD-237216, 25 Feb 2014At least it is not easily hackable like how ppl copy someone's fingerprint on plastic let it r... moreBut iPhone's and Xperia's are beautifully designed already, and they're superb in build quality, while Samsung has this ugly design, with just a few changes since the SIII, ridiculous.
Known design, known features, known plastic...again???
Except the specs and pen, what is the difference between S5 and Note I?
I had S4 and i was very disappointing. I'm not a fruit fan.
Can you work on that device with one hand???
IMHO - for me there are few features that are important in a smart phone: very good phone quality, camera quality, internet browsing.
That's why i'm choosing NOKIA once again.
Make again piss contest regarding specs and apps... who cares?
Ok, I think the fan boys are here now. I had posted a comment earlier. Was mad at Samsung. The hardware on the S5 is good frankly. But it doesn't make up for how ugly it is. A premium phone is supposed to look premium. I'd rather my apps open 0.0002 seconds slower and have 2MP less on my camera, if the phone looks premium. I mean, that's the easy part right? To make it look good? These Chinese companies are doing a better job at that than Samsung. It's frustrating that they(Samsung) have so much going for them, but they have to fuck up all the time on the looks department. It's frustrating that they are not learning from the previous models. I'm not going to buy this phone because I hope their sales go down on this one. So they will rethink- go back to the drawing board- actually listen to the consumers- and get it right with the S6. I've been hoping they get 'the looks right next time' since the S3. I'm tired of your shit now Samsung. Because I had hope in you. And you failed me. Thrice.
nothing new ..s3 still the best...it looks like an upgrade ...can anyone tell me how to get fm(not streaming/online) on my gs4
SK89, 25 Feb 2014Because Z1 was already beautifulIn your opinion and off topic. Were are talking about updates where the z2 is less of an update than the s5 is.
No confirmation of a LED notification on Galaxy S5? Why would they omit the very useful LED notification?
My S3's LED notification saved my arse many times, keeps me updated on the most crucial messages/missed calls I need to reply to. Would be a deal breaker if the S5 doesn't have this feature.
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2014Z2 compared to the Z1 is the same case so how is that so??????Because Z1 was already beautiful
Samsung s5 going to be big flop phone of this year 2014 because front body appears like grand2 back view totally waste.specifications same as LG g2 seeing this LG is better than Samsung.
LG G2 looking much better than this.........this time samsung not impressed....
looking for LG G3 NOW
"The camera unit now provides the fastest 0.3 seconds autofocus times of all handsets - a feat made possible by the dedicated image signal processors in the Snapdragon 801 chipset. Since we have the same 1.1 micron pixels, the sensor has become slightly larger, at 1/2.5", to accommodate the increase in pixel count.
Besides 4K video recording at 30fps, the processor also allows for a few extra camera tricks, too. Selective Focus allows users to tap on objects they want to look sharp, and the rest of the background gets blurred, achieving a shallow depth of field (DOF) effect without special lenses.
Samsung also touts that an advanced High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode that goes for both photos and real-time video capture. The 16MP shooter also boasts f/2.2 aperture, and Samsung's new ISOCELL technology, which should bring better exposed and blur-free photos in low light."
I think the Galaxy S5 indeed is a good flagship by Samsung. I think they should have waited for Qualcomm to realese their Snapdragon 805 with 2.5 Ghz on the clock and the Adreno 420 gpu.Simply overclocking the processor dosent mean that it is going to be super fast, for example Samsung Galaxy S5 could have been given competition to the Xperia Z2 with the Snapdragon 801.Well Snapdragon 800,16 mp camera,2gb ram,1080p display, 2160p@30fps is all in all a good package for the S5.I think the GPro 2 will give more competition to this phone. If there was a second choice I think I would go with the GPro2.
You forgot that SGS5 has ultra power saving mode. The screen becomes black and white to decrease battery consumption.
I don't think Samsung Galaxy S5 changing many functions compared to S4. The body design isn't futuristic enough,it's a like an old samsung galaxy s. I can't believe it after we're all been waited so long. I don't expect s5 would end not perfectly
None of the comments in this forum will cause an effect in people. If people buys this phone then we are all wrong, if they don't We are wrong. Good luck to Samsung anyway, but I think this will be selling even less than S4
AnonD-90736, 25 Feb 2014The LG G Pro 2 destroys this in every aspect, especially in design, looks and screen to body r... moreGpro 2 is a phablet playing catch up with the Note 3.
Plus this has WATER PROOFING, a faster chip, better screen, and logically better camera. As well as a more feature rich functional UI....So how does it destroy this in every way?
The LG G Pro 2 destroys this in every aspect, especially in design, looks and screen to body ratio, of course those blind sammy fanboys will always go with S5 even though their products look and feel so bad. For me, at the moment it's the LG G Pro 2 that will take my money but I have till September before I can upgrade so I shall see what other 6" phablets appear before then, but I really can't see any smartphone or Phablet beating the LG G Pro 2 except probably the LG G3.
