No phone on the market can play it properly. Even my Note 3 overclocked to 3ghz will still have it stutter. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kmw570absc2vz4d/%5BUTW%5D_Fate_Zero_-_Creditless_OP1_%5BBD%5D%5Bh264-1080p_FLAC%5D%5B466070ED%5D.mkv
Marorun, 17 Apr 2014What do you do thats need more than the S800? No game use it fully. Only some apps will do... moreI watch a lot of anime. Hi-def anime can require quite a bit of resources and won't run on a low-end or mid-end device. Heck, even the most powerful gpu's on the market can't play half of my collection. Even now I have to settle with either stream or dvd quality videos.
the only thing that win the s5 over one m8 is the camera nothing else.
Samsung has clearly worked hard to make a phone that is a cut above the Galaxy S4, and they have hit that mark in several very big ways. The UI feels a lot less chaotic, the hardware feels nicer in the hand, and the camera is downright stunning. There’s still plenty of fun to be had with this phone as we explore the deep power saving modes and all of the other features contained within, but so far the phone is clearly going to be a hit.
AnonD-219781, 17 Apr 2014Umm, the S5's stock browser is faster than the M8's stock browser. Don't know or care about 3r... moreNo. It's better at the Sunspider benchmark because it's optimized to score well in this test. Try Kraken or Browsermark and watch a more comprehensive web benchmark show the stock browser for what it is.

AnonD-219781, 17 Apr 2014I couldn't disagree more about performance. The S800 doesn't do what I need it to, so I'm defi... moreOut of curiosity, just what are you doing on your phone that requires so much horse power?. Calling, massaging, mailing, video watching, web browsing, image editing, listening to music, etc. (every single operation I do on my phone) works close to perfect on my Sony Xperia S that is a dual core Snapdragon with older Scorpion cores. I can't find any kind of software on mobile platforms (Android, WP or iOS) that would use all that power even when multitasking.
Thanks for a great review, all the positives and negatives captured. At their current pricetags neither is worth it.
as for all the fanboys: re-re read the review again and you'll see that it is neutral, HTC fanboys to become as annoying as apple ones..
AnonD-115391, 17 Apr 2014Agreed. But point is.. When it comes to comparing the quality, it has to be S5 vs M8 vs Z2 and... moreHave to agree with you on thats one..
i use a Nikon D3200 here when i need quality pic ( i know its not the best camera on the market but its beat any smartphone )
shubham yadav, 17 Apr 2014Firstly, htc one m8 cheats in benchmarks and s5 Doesn't.
Secondly, the tests in which s5 w... moreJust so you know..
Beside the 2.3 vs 2.5 both chipset are identical for EVERYTHING ELSE.
Second fact is when playing games or doing intensive task your Samsung will keep all the heat inside and will be forced to throttle the speed where the HTC will get warm to the touch but not throttle the speed.
Also the Cheat you talk about benchmark also run in all 3d games and other intensive applications so when its used almost always when the phone need it its not a cheat anymore its called dynamic overclocking :P
Marorun, 17 Apr 2014I was still impressed by the Quality of the build on the S5 finally the device dont feel like ... moreAgreed. But point is.. When it comes to comparing the quality, it has to be S5 vs M8 vs Z2 and not S5 vs S4 vs S3.
When it comes to samsung, reviewer compares to galaxy series, however, when it comes to M8 or Z2, reviewer falls back to inter flag ship where S5 is not even close.
So in a nutshell, this is not a fair review. Looks like S5 is patting its own back for good work.
In a Single Line: We need a FLAGSHIP Phone and not a Flagship Camera. If we spend $700 on a phone, it should look and feel like a premium product in hand rather than bragging about how good it clicks. I would rather use my DSLR for that. and hold a beautiful looking phone in hand.
AnonD-219781, 17 Apr 2014The iPhone 5s is best compared to the GS4 and the 2013 One, not these 2014 flagships. The build quality and design of the M8 is way superior to the iphone 5S the M7 design was about same quality as the iphone 5S..
shubham yadav, 17 Apr 2014Judging by your comment, you just know nothing. Ultrapixels ARE megapixels, just bigger. And ... moreSadly i have to agree the main camera on the S5 blow the HTC M8 away..
But the Selfie cam on the HTC blow the S5 away.

When i take pic from my phone its almost always for facebook and twiter so i dont need high resolution.
Got myself a Nikon D3200 for more high resolution picure and the S5 or any smartphone are FAR FAR FAR from it so for me Camera is not a deal breaker.
What a deal breaker is when a phone break or stop working after 1 drop when doing a call.. ( dont laught its happened to my colleague S5 and its not funny the phone dont even have a trace of damage but the screen stoped working..)
There also a drop test on youtube where the same thing happen so its not a manufacturer defect ( or there is a lots of em...)
