No game use it fully.
Only some apps will do but those app ( like video conversion ect ) will run 10 time faster on a real pc so maybe snapdragon 1500 serie will be fast enuf lol.

Marorun, 17 Apr 2014Then why using both onboard browser and Chrome the HTC open real life webpage faster? Umm, the S5's stock browser is faster than the M8's stock browser. Don't know or care about 3rd party browsers, since they can vary greatly on each device.

HTC will get scratch on the aluminium but nothing else.

So if you afraid of scratch you need a case otherwise you dont need one with th HTC.

On the Samsung you need a case against drop but not against scratch..

So its all questions of what type of person you are if you drop your phone a lots take the HTC if you dont drop it take the Samsung

If we only base on resistance of course.

The S800 doesn't do what I need it to, so I'm definitely looking forward to the 805 and 810. A Snapdragon S4 fitting my needs? Yeah right lol.

Optimization is a good thing, since a good sunspider means good web-browsing in general. Unlike cpu and gpu benchmarks, a sunspider score actually reflects on the experience.

Why is it that everyone claims that AMOLED is more power efficient than LCD but on the other hand video playback time on S5 is shorter? The S5 has a 4% larger screen but 2.1% less ppi and a 7.7% bigger battery capacity...

Is it the UI? Is it only a theoretical advantage which goes along with increased black areas? Is it the chipset? Is it a marketing lie (again)?

As someone who doesn't like either of these phones for their monumental fail of not having a shutter key I still feel that S5 is a better package, overall. But giving S5 a win in display and and a draw in build quality is a joke. My (I think objective) scores would be:
Design and build quality: M8>S5
Display: M8>S5 (441ppi vs 288ppi and being slightly brighter means M8 is better).
Battery: S5>M8
Interface: Draw (both should be replaced with something like NOVA or APEX ASAP)
Performance: Draw (since even Snapdragon S4 is more than anyone is going to ever need in real life S800 is overkill in both cases)
App packages: S5>M8 (both have quite a number of gimmicky features but S5 has more of those so S5>M8)
Audio: M8>S5
Camera in all departments: S5>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>M8
Overall: S5>M8 even if only slightly.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2014Did gsmarena make a mistake? The title should read plastic and steel. Aluminium soda can vs polycarbonate.

HTC Positives:
Sharper Screen
Front Speakers
Premium Looks
Polished Sense UI

S5:
Better Contrast and Sun Light Legibility,
Way Better Camera,
Excellent Battery,
Water Resistant Body,
Easy Handling as no case is required,
Many In Built Useful Software
Lighter Body

Go for M8 purely for premium looks and polished UI...

Except for premium looks, S5 has everything. Take your pick.

If u are OK with looks, S5 is better.

I have an s4 and never used them . Though a pedometer or a heart rate sensor can be useful, I use pedometer a lot. Have a nice day. It seems they are no longer there in s-health now
