Great! This will surely boost the sales and user experience to a level that many will find reason to stick with WP.Still there is room for lots of improvement in app functionality and versatility to come(Whatsapp in WP cannot share all media only those captured by camera) in WP.MS be very careful in keeping or removing the Nokia logo from phones after its acquisition of Nokia mobile units...this is a big business decision and should be carefully thought....

I admit this WP version has lot of exciting features for user. But it still didn't solve the issue with developer.
- You can only develop WP8.1 app using 64-bit Windows 8. While you can develop Android app using 32/64 of XP, Vista, 7, 8.
What's wrong with MS? Why Google as MS competitor support MS OS better than MS itself? If people can develop WP on more OS, there won't be shortage of apps in WP marketplace.
- Developing for WP isn't cheap. You need 64-bit Win8 PC with decent spec that can run latest Visual Studio. That's not including the price to deploy app to phone, aka developer account. Heck even BB10 developer account is free.
- Not enterprise friendly. You need marketplace to deploy internal company app, WTF. Why can't I just sideload them, it's an internal app for God's sake, it's meant for private distribution only. And the ridiculous $300/year Symantec license for company account didn't help either.
- People might argue that iOS have similar limitation and hefty price as well. But you can't compare them with WP. iOS have better market position and larger user base.

Does WP 8.1 support directx 12...??? If yes. what are the new graphical features WP 8.1 is getting?? Is it better than open gl and open cl used both in android and ios...???

Its a great feature to have, one of the things i would find it hard to leave behind with BB10 OS, the BlackBerry browser is by far the most transparent when browsing only desktop sites, works on any flash content, i never have to go to mobile versions and use HTML5 players for video clips, never get the message "sorry this video is not available for mobile" and even with full flash support the BB browser is super smooth.
Sure most can live without flash support but its better to have than to not have, and i respect the opinions of people who cant live without it. Your opinion however is arrogant, you should accept that flash is important to lots of people and its their business, not yours.

Looks like it is finally useable without going crazy now, my problem with WP8 was always the insanely slow animations/transitions that were forced down our throats at every occasion. Much better now.
One setting i always require from a phone is the ability to disable the lockscreen, is it possible on WP81.? Phones that always bring me to the lockscreen and requiring an extra swipe are almost as annoying as slow transitions. My BB10 phone only takes me to the lockscreen when it requires unlock code, have to swipe away the lockscreen befor i can enter my number pattern, wish it didnt do that but at least i can bypass the LS when it wasnt yet fully locked (10 minutes delay)
Anyway, those quicktoggles are too much lacking in WP8.1, very weak, a serious disadvantage over Android and BB10.

The is still lacks a proper file manager, and really I wished for a mobile data on off toggle.
Anyway I love the OS a how is it now. Love the new word flow keyboard, and the notification_ action centre. But need improved video and music hub. They looks like a downgrade from WP 8. Lag also increased, but WP 8.1 is still in beta stage in my 520 so I want my final Lumia cyan update to be better than this.

After upgrading my Lumia 525 to 8.1, my handset get hotter that I can't hold it for few minutes. I don't know what's the problem on Windows 8.1 but I think Microsoft should really fix that Issue immediately. Can anyone suggest me that what's the reason. Many forum discussion said that they also faced that problem.
If any better suggestion then please provide me....

My family configuration is the worst app. System ever created. I'm going to change to android, it's true think about it. if you want wp8 be sure the app shop works first with you e-mail.
