Nice review GSMArena, as usual. The quick camera comparison with S4 mini was an added bonus.

Strange... in Brazil LG will sell the Tegra 4i version with 13mpx camera. The screen resolution is still low, but this is more better.

piyal , 25 Apr 2014Big companies(except Sony) are always trying to fool us with there "Mini" version of... morethats because they have actually used the device taken picture with it, play around the phone it self, why u have done nothing but talk talk and talk about a device u havent even seen or held.
ps: am only going to buy if the 13mp version is available thats my hold back. tired of sonys bezel and look alike phones like sammy

I don't know why this low end quad core 1.2 Ghz Cpu perform quite brilliantly in benchmarks.May be LG is excellent in cheating benchmarks. In real life, there will be hiccups because LG home is quite heavy. And screen is a bit let down because of its poor resolution and contrast. I think display and performance are most important in smartphones because if these are poor you'll be annoyed everytime you use your ph. It falls short of its competitors like one mini, S4 mini and Xperia SP.

Before i hate lg ,but now i love it.
I just bought g2 mini for 12.900pesos or around 300Dollar.
Im truly 100%happy and i love this phone
Evrything are great.
Camera,1080video is amazing
Battery is impressive.
I love Guest mode
Q window cover is nice
I love the most is KNOCK CODE
from the day i bought g2 mini
i become an lg fan.
I came from sony xperia C.

native video call is back on LG phones!
if i remember correctly, the last LG phone that support native video call is LG Optimus 3D.
and for last few years, Samsung is the only major brand that still support native video call
(that's why i'm stuck with Samsung since i have no other options).
and now LG has decided to brings back native video call feature, i have many more choices now.

why sony made z1 compact?
because there are some people who want a smaller phone"compact size" at the same specs from original z1. and still at the same price. just the size is the difference.
why LG did not make a smaller version of G2?
BECAUSE G2 IS ALREADY COMPACT compare to Xperia Z1.
NO NEED TO CREATE ANOTHER G2!

for one plus one its is good option too but its PURE CHINESE Brand so many people especially Like me I don't want a Chinese brand.
so its about personal preferences
i laugh those people(Sony fans) who are trying to compare Z1 Compact to G2 mini.
why not try to compare z1 compact to original LG G2?
as they have almost the same price !

Xperia z1 compact is 620 dollar
LG G2 Mini is just 299 dollar.
they are targeting different markets!

i have also bad experienced with my sony phone like xperia tx and xperia z ALL ARE POOR IN BATTERY PERFORMANCE AND BAD DISPLAY when you try to compare to LG Mobile. like G2, or even the optimus G.
Before i forget Sony Phone are NOT ergonomic in its design. usually its slippery and hard to grip using one hand! like Xperia "Z"
Sony flagship are always look the same design xperia z, z1, z2.
one common ALL THICK BEZEL there are so much wasted space you might say because its a water resistant?
NO what about slim bezel Samsung's water resistant phones?

Big companies(except Sony) are always trying to fool us with there "Mini" version of their flagships. This Lg G2 mini is horrible in every expect (bar battery life) which counts when it comes to midrange handsets. This phone can't even compete with last year's midrange phone( S4 mini, Xperia Sp, Moto G etc etc). I don't know why a very good review site like Gsmarena concluded that it's ok as a good midranger in 2014.
