How can you say Oppo Find 7a is great for audiophiles when the sound quality is the worst ever, not even stereo when using headphones!

AnonD-147377, 13 May 2014S5 is a killing machine. No other phone can compare against it except Note III. Thanks GSMar... moreno other phone ..except nexus 5 and xperia z2 and htc one max or whichever has snapdragon 800. 800 vs 801 is pretty much the same in everyday use. if the nexus 5 had an sd card it would have sold millions, maybe 10+ millions. i bought one and returned after 1 week because of remorse cause it didn't have an sd card, i thought i could live wihout it, but in the end no, i couldnt bare to have my files prone for damage on a memory chip thats soldered to the phone. now ive got a note 3 and its great.

        Event though I don't like the S5, I think it's better than the 7a.

Had iphones and desparatedly needed something with a bigger screen to do some serious work on the go. Now the US-Marketing company APPLE' completetly missed the boat and stuck to their old phone strategy.
So after trying the S5 and Note3, mate i tell you, at this stage forget the Apple rubbish

What are these additional contacts on the b... moreFast charging in the 30 to 80% range shouldnt harm the battery much, it is always the discharging the last drops (below 30 to 40%) and squeezing in the last 20% that damages li-ion batteries the most.

ions are essentially atoms (with a positive charge), and atoms are big, extremely huge compared to electrons. in li-ion/po batteries these ions wander between the anode and cathode and back (depending on if its charging or discharging). When you charge the last 20% of a battery you are squeezing the ions into the grid, really filling it up, so it expands. When discharging it retracts again, and its these repeated expansions/retractions that causes cracks in the structure.

li-ion batteries for electric cars has only half the capacity per kilo of battery but they are not charged as high or discharged as low, which is why an el-car can take 6000 charge/recharge cycles over 10 years before the battery need replacement. There are other differences, for example what makes it possible for a el-car battery to last 10 years but thats not important in this context.

The displays are superb and so are the incredible viewing angles
Anyway, the view behind the lead dog always remains the same and its no surprise that many are trying
However, at this point in time, neither the Chinese nor the US-MARKETING Cowboys have managed to take the lead away from Samsung

But for the record S5 charges from 0-100% in just under 2.5hrs. From 0-90% the S5 will be charged under 2hrs with the bundled USB2.0 charger.

Actually I feel they should have mentioned the option for rapid charching in the "Oppo Find 7a over the Samsung Galaxy S5"-section.
Even if it harms the battery, it is still an advantage. The only downside you might have to buy a new battery sooner. On the other hand, no one forces you to use this technology all the time. But you are able to make use of it IF you need it.

But what no one talks about is how much it adversely affects the lifespan of the battery pack. I am betting the Oppo 7s need visiting the replacement or service center to swap out the battery much sooner than typical smartphone batteries.

They are essentially overpowering the charging process for the fastest segments which is usually the 15 to 70-80% capacity of any Li or Poly battery. The last 90-100% is always the longest to charge.
