I forgot to mention that " THICK BEZEL" TOP-BOTTOM and TWO SIDES
NOT GOOD TO ME!
It makes the phone looks ugly!
G3 is the most ergonomic and beautiful in all flagship smartphone to date! (in my opinion)
sony "omnibalance design" is not ergonomic.
that bulky rectangle "flat & slippery glass back "
one sided power button for a big phone like xperia z1 and z2 is not that easy to reach , awkward especially for left handed people!
i think lg g3 's design "curve back is more friendly to use' and rear keys is very neutral for both left handed and right handed people.
i hope sony will learn from lg!

But you definitely don t sound like a fanboy...yeahhh, ignorin camera test from doxmark experts, battery test from gsm arena, and alike....only to acclaim your personal opinion that amoled, camera, UI and sound is better on a samsung device. you seem to be a true fact person! Bravo for you ;-)
You can reply but will not get an answer, as discussion like this, mentioning others brains and stuff, is meaningless...and fanboyish
no one notice that
"20.7mp is shame cause it supersample to 8mp"
but arent that nokia make 41mp to 5mp ?
What we don't like:
Superior Auto delivers noticeably better image quality but it's only 8MP
but arent that nokia do like that ? and is 5mp only ?
Exellent smartphone but its internal memory is low
I like it....
z2 camera beats s5 camera hands on in low light!
Don't believe just watch this...
Eriol, 17 May 2014Non-replaceable battery is indeed a disadvantage. Unless you change your phone every year. ... moreI've been through several sony phones already from k750, w8, xperia x8, xperia v(1 year old) and none of them showed signs of degradation even after more than 2 years of usage, so I don't get what you are saying. Besides most of us tend to replace our phone once it's already 2 years old.

darkraver, 17 May 2014No...where does the review say that during battery test the screen was dimmed?!?. It may seem... moreUse your brain not your fanboy defense.
The screen is dimmer from the Z1. I was not even referring to while using it that is was dimmed. Al though it said that happens automatically with the Z2.
Again. Use your brain. Dimmer screen and larger battery.
Lol. Argues about camera quality and then excludes detail as a point.
Wow...You are really such a hardcore defensive fanboy
Not impressed at all....
It's behind S5 because:
-A LOT better screen
-S5 is more confortable to handle it the hand
-Touchwhiz has more features
-Even looks better in most areas
-Faster updates w/ longer time support
Honestly, the only area where Z2 beats S5 is the looks, otherwise it's either tie or win for S5. Winner S5
It's behind the HTC one M8, which is quite a deal cheaper because:
-Better build/better looking/easier to hold/Won't scratch half as much as glass
-miles better looking UI with more features
-Better front camera(which, btw is used today a lot more than the back one by most young people)
-A lot better speakers/audio with headphones
-Better screen in daylight.
-faster updates. Now what does Z2 have over it? The back camera, slightly battery life and... that's it. Winner HTC one M8
Get over the Sony fanboysm and actually think for a moment, is this phone really that good? The answer is no. There are better, cheaper options out there.

New screen tech and bloatware free UI are the main reasons for Z2 excellent battery endurance. That is only logical my friend.
As for the doxmark camera testing.... Obviously the 100% crop noise everybody is clipping to Sony picture quality, is just ONE of many factors they take in concern., and there are dozen other factors in which Sony is just plain on top.You know, very few people actually care about cropping their shots to max in their judgement of camera quality, just like they do with benchmark results, such minor differences between devices do not concern most people..
Anonymous, 17 May 2014Unless you are talking about much older models that is not an issue and were more things that ... moreIt is sluggish. If you own a S5, check in in about 3 months and dare to claim the same ;-). Amoled is all about preference so, I dont like it...you like it end of discussion. And about earphone volume output. Use proper earphones, on dedicated hardware such as noise cancelling and you ll have a blasting sound experience, I personally prefer Sonys logic of dimming volume down enough not to damage hearing (as they stated themselves when asked about volume output) but maintaining optimal sound experience...
So, again, each to it s own liking ;-)
Worya, 16 May 2014I actually own this phone and have had it for around 2 weeks now. The speaker volume is good, ... morejust tell me, has Sony resolved their long pending problem of low ear piece volume during calls?? I am asking becoz I haven't used any Sony mobile since my K-850, and that was a really nice tech except for a horrible ear piece volume, which eventually is the very basic function of a mobile phone whether feature phone or smartphone. I am asking becoz u know, where I live, Sony's devices are as rare as none, and we don't get them with official warranty. So this question is most important for me, have they gone away with that low ear piece volume problem in current Xperia line or not?
Really upset Sony says that it is not coming to US carriers.
I was trying to convince a few people about how awesome it was and to get it. Especially as alternative ideas or when they want something a little different.

darkraver, 16 May 2014Yeah S5 has best black and worst white...amoled is a totally unnatural looking screen. And jud... moreIf you would look at that logically you would see that has a lot more to do with dimming the display down and having a larger battery in comparison to Z1 or others.
And it was claimed best without having reviewed others like the S5 yet......and in terms of overall. Including new features, new video, and so forth.
Otherwise as far as photography goes it does not stand a chance against the 1020 or 808 still.
But it has other newer tricks.
darkraver, 16 May 2014Well, I used samsung and do not want ever to return to it...laggish ui and amoled are the mai... moreUnless you are talking about much older models that is not an issue and were more things that plagued many phones.
Ui is not sluggish. And Amoled slight bluish white is no different than the overly warm "not accurate" one of LCDs. And a little more accurate than some. And when you put it in movie mode the white balance is one of the most accurate there is.
Using real good earphones with any phone is going to make it "better"...Duh???????????????????????
