I could have sworn Apple employs massively powerful SoCs in their latest phones to achieve that "fluidity".
Any slightly older iPhone (4S for instance) will lag like hell in the latest iOS.

im a sony fan but lately im using a blackberry z10, it's a wonderfull phone with a special os. Gsmarena why you didn't include z10 in the list?

GSMArena should have excluded 520 and included 525, because the only difference is 1GB RAM vs 512MB RAM and the price difference is definitely worth it.

You can see for yourself the photos taken by Z2 here at GSMarena. There is clearly a lens distortion in all photos,like you have in cheap wide angle lenses. I was honestly looking forward for the Z2, but hey, in the end it's a free world(here) so I can change my mind, right?

Besides, you're talking about "fast", gsmarena talks about "fluidity" and others talk about "lag" but all probably refer to the same thing.
If this is still an issue in the latest version of Android then Google needs to fix it. These are beginners issues and still hauling them around this late in the game is ridiculous. And no - the answer is not to just crank up the GHz - because iOS can do it without doing that. I have the original Note running 4.1.2 and it has the issue.

Why is it after all this time th... moreiOS is the only other main-stream OS aside from Android that is worth buying, and there aren't too many device options. Sailfish, Firefox OS and even BB OS just don't interest people, and ongoing support for those OS's will be a problem.
I love iOS for the user-centric design, and how it ties in so easily with everything I need to do.
It's a preference, and every buyer should purchase according to their budget and appetite for features.

Nexus 5, for example, is a bit faster in real world daily use than iPhones. HTC's Sense is probably the fastest UI that isn't a pure Android.

Why is it after all this time that Android is not as fluid as iOS? Embarrassing. It's technical and can be fixed - so fix it. Once fixed then Apple is out of advantages and has only smoke and mirrors left.
