AnonD-81824, 16 Jul 2014whatever u say , amoled is bad and lg ips is good . Thank you for proving the point perfectly.
All you do is hate blindly on Amoled while blindly loving Sony.
I don't know about the S4 software package. I traded a Lumia 930 for an LG G3 after having owned a Note 3 for quite a while.
IMHO the software package of the Galaxy devices will be their undoing. All they offer are mere gimmicks without much practical use. The "software package" is just bloatware that drains the battery for no real purpose and with no possibility to uninstall.
They push so hard pointless "Samsung apps", having their own store, their own Kindle app version.
As a Samsung TV user I found their TV integration mildly interesting but I still prefer a Harmony remote to their smartphone apps (which tend to never really close and drain battery in the background)
Maybe it's a strategy, maybe it's just poor software development but either way, I'll take LG anytime.
G3 wins all the way ... all will follow g3 by putting a 2k screen . samsung screen tech is not matured or they wuld hav released s5 with that..
I am stunned that this site chose the G3 as the winner in the display category when it acknowledges to be inferior in the most important aspects - color, brightness, sunlight readability... It touts the 2xHD even when there's almost no content for it, according to all tech sites the extra pixels are impossible to discern at a normal viewing distance and according to all tech sites again the only thing that 2xHD brings to the table is occasional jitter and battery drainage. Amazing.
Anonymous, 15 Jul 2014Another stretch/lie/exaggeration to side track from me completely debunking your last comment ... moreI used every single Amoled from Samsung since Omnia HD till S5, yes I agree the best Amoled made by Samsung is S5 Super Amoled and yes I love it plus the G2 IPS LCD looks trash compare it to S5 Super Amoled. But Super Amoled after couple of month of use start showing wired issue especially with white, the white start to dim and turn to pinkish reddish hue, videos doesn't looks as sharp as Super LCD or IPS LCD if you compare it, oversaturate Super Amoled Harmless eyes more than LCD's panel. My advice give the G3 display a try and compre it to other Super Amoled and other LCD's panel you'll shocked from the result that's what I did before I bought the G3 and yes G3 screen WORTH IT period.

Congratulations. You keep saying amoled shows fake colors over and over as if it means something and then act as if lcd does not show it. And say it in defense of lg which completely ignores the fact that lcd makes some of the MOST overstaturated "fake colors" lcds there are. Plus have fake blacks and whites with washed out contrast and much more reflection, uneven light, and leakage. ...
Then try to severely exaggerate the degrading of amoled.
It's almost as if you know the truth but are so hurt by it you just make up the lies and purposefully deny the hurtful truth.

take any galaxy/note series phone and see the bluish tint which increase as the year passes .
This is how i used to compare korean version of G3 and show off with my friends who have note3 and s4 . its really bad to see their sad face.
In korea ,people already started moving away from AMOLED. samsung trying hard even in home market .they even started comparing LCD with LED and coming up with sm ads (yeah ppl are already fed up with their fake ads)
AnonD-81824, 14 Jul 2014my point was amoled will display only black perfectly ..

Oh yeah...your point is not factual it's trolling.

Too many fanboys on these blogs...I am a great lover of Sony products for the build quality etc of their products as well as having a liking for HTC. Now have quite a liking for LG since the G2. Whilst I have no issue with Samsung, I find the design of their phones quite uninspiring and now find them much of a muchness since the S3! Basically, if I like it, I will buy it but I think the next iteration of the S series really needs to make a step change to Samsung's offer to its users. Apple has taken this point on board and is adapting to the market despite its fan base!
This iteration I'm giving up Samsung for the LG. Over the years I've grown serious tired of Samsung's bloatware. Heartrate monitor? Thanks, but it's not like it's a wearable and usability is 0. IP rating? I'm not looking at devices to have forever, they're not gathering dust and how about not taking your phone into the thub? Not saying these aren't nice, but they're not something I'd pay extra to have.
Nice screen, better battery, better audio quality, less bloatware (S-Voice is nice, but the samsung apps store and other crappy services? no thanks) are stuff I want to have.
I am missing USB3.0 a lot - transferring music or movies over BT is battery intensive and incredibly long, the alternative being FTP server while on WiFi which is also battery intensive while copying over USB3.0 is faster and the phone also charges during that time.
AnonD-81824, 30 Jun 2014it depends on whatz the usage model ..
i prefer LCD monitors over LED (for laptops )

Is this the case with only galaxy s5 or other smartphones also?
Because as far as i know, most of the smartphones have a display with 16:9 aspect ratio (sans a few lumias).
