I know of a couple of people that have bought the M8 and are more than happy with the 4MP camera & picture quality, reason being they aren't photographers & they don't pixel peep to look for flaws, they take a picture and they happy with it to post it to Facebook ect or leave on their phone or have it on their laptop PC whatever, they don't edit or crop or even print them.
As it stands to the average none geek none obsessed smartphone addicts the HTC M8 will stand out over the likes of the S5,Z2,G3 ect because of it build quality first & foremost and it quality of it speakers & music playback, alot of people that choose the M8, will most likely have come from the iPhone and want to move onto Android because of the larger screen.
I myself went for the S5, mainly because while it doesn't have any one standout features like the others have, it does do everything it need to superbly, be it camera, music ect.
AnonD-255654, 24 Jun 2014HTC One M8 is in the same category as the Z2, they both pale in comparison with the Koreans.... Quite the contrary. Although g3 is nice,z2 is better than even m8 and s5 overall quality and performance wise.
Is simple...
LG G3 number 1, 2014
i'll pick the one with removable battery
HTC One M8 is in the same category as the Z2, they both pale in comparison with the Koreans....
"Winner: HTC One (M8). Yes, we know it cheats but so does the LG G3." well best cheater won here, i dont think G3 fully cheats or something, if it would itll get 35k + score at last :D, and how the hell is Sense interface better? well its better on old LG interface but new`s noo
Don't understand how GSMArena lists the dual camera as an advantage, it's probably 99% of the reason why people choose to buy another phone over the M8.
The dual camera just isn't a disadvantage, it's a deal-breaker, and that really sucks for HTC.
If you use both of them for 1 week, you will find which one is better. There are lots of things that can't figure out from just simple comparision. G3 is much easier.
htc m8 is better than g3 after my experience with the m8 and the g3 (owning a cell phones shop)
if HTC weren't that clueless to continue adding that lame 4MP camera to the M8...
So GPE is an advantage, but the phone you just reviewed is running Sense, right?
Just an idea: add a price comparison section for sim free phones, showing packaging and accessories. Thats how people will know what they are getting for their money.
G3 all the way, by the way.
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2014I think both are superb, however, if I was choosing between the two, i'd pick the G3.right
Larger, sharper screen..
Practically the same size, lighter.
Thats pretty much sum up that htc one is in different tier. it should be compare to g2 or s4.
It pretty much confirms what I already thought. For sound go with One M8, for pics LG.
Where HTC can learn from G3 is to lose a bit more bezel and have more screen in its current body dimensions. It doesn't need to get longer or wider, just use existing space more efficiently to get a little bit more screen in future release.
As far as specs go, One m8 will be relevant for at least another 24 months.
I would like to have the G3, but I'm fine with my M8.
I pick up m8 for best known title in android optomazations with fantastic ui and unique design with premium feel.
G3 is great too.
Google play version, how do you know the g3 wont have a goggle play version?
No doubt I'd rather have the One, but with its outdated specs, it can't really stand against the GS5, G3, Z2, etc. It's stuck in the past and should be compared with the GS4 or Xperia Z.
Conclusion:
LG G3 - The Future Is Here.
HTC One (M8) - Outdated, but exceptional.
