Josh, 10 Aug 2014Live in China, friend got this for her mom. Has ColorOS 1.2 installed and did OTA on August 9.... moreI got a chinese version in Hong Kong. The phone is really great for the money. The screen is sharp . It runs everything really fast . The reception to lte was a bit unstable. I was very happy with it until u need to have any kind of after sales services. the home buttons stopped working after two months . I did drop it a few times from my bed. No physical damage on the surface. nevertheless, I was my fault. I contact the Hong Kong support for service. They replied that I need to contact th mainland support page. I replied that I wanted to pay for the repair to get it fix in Hong Kong . they didn't bother to reply ! not the kind of company u can trust if thy don't provide any service if u moved from one place to another

Josh, 10 Aug 2014Live in China, friend got this for her mom. Has ColorOS 1.2 installed and did OTA on August 9.... moreHi... Lived in China for 15 years and always bought my Moto and Nokia's in Hong Kong... Now I bought a OnePlus One - my first Chinese brand phone... It works like a dream and I am very impressed. The only thing I don't like is that the normal play-store is not available; and I am forced to use a local version in Chinese only. However, it still allows me to get my favorite apps in English... Overall...I am impressed. Definitely not my last Chinese brand phone...
Live in China, friend got this for her mom. Has ColorOS 1.2 installed and did OTA on August 9. Using system settings set phone settings to highest, and it wasnt that loud. Also called friend in same location using both iphone4 and onePlus. My friend noticed a significant difference in call quality between iphone4 and onePlus. Additionally, during calls, onePlus calls will temporarily cut out and sound alternates between loud and low on both normal mode and speaker phone. Even tested when calling customer support. Call quality is simply atrocious and software solutions did not work, including entering "engineering mode". Already having her send back for refund. Wifi was snappy. If you just need this phone for wifi and not receive/make phone calls, then its ok, but if you need it for phone functions, you'll be sorely disappointed by build quaility.
As if other phones aren't made in China. Hello Sony, Samsung, Apple, HTC
One one one fanboy. Htc one. Oneplus one. Xbox one. I hate to hear one one one. Very Iritated one on my ears
AnonD-259899, 15 Jul 2014It's not like the OnePlus One is a groundbreaking phone. It's better than Nexus 5 for the pric... moreThe Z2 suffers from overheating and other problems and $300-350 vs $730 for the Z2 is not worth it at all. In the end it's a phone, unless you love throwing a lot of money at flag ships with hardly any benefit than this cheap priced and great performance phone.
this phone is beyond amazing for $300, even if it is a "chinese phone", it's less than half the price of a G3, S5, Z2 and 5s and it's just as good, in fact it has a better android os out the box than the rest that come with bulky garbage in it.
I would not buy it. It is only marketing hook invite system. Other than that it is just another Chinese brand.
Geez! The dynamic range is the "only" real issue with the camera?!
I guess this is why GSMArena likes the S5, too, as it also has poor dynamic range.
But dynamic range is one of the most important things about a camera and its processing, as you cannot fix it in Photoshop - the information is not there.
Yes, it pops, but only people who know little about photography find narrow dynamic range acceptable.
Most other flagships, including the Xperia and the iPhone produce better balanced photos, even if at first glance they don't "pop" like the S5 or this one.
Purchasing a mobile device today is more than just buying a unit in a box. Beyond the superior spec sheet, you are buying into an overall experience. I would wait until there's long term feedback on the quality of the hardware, how well the company addresses bugs in the hw and sw, their warranty and customer support capabilities. If even the biggest companies can sometimes have crappy service, how much more a startup from China? Does the invite system, delays and waiting list (even for those invited) give confidence in the company? Not for me. I'll pass for now.
