Why cant you guys just compare images at the same size and resolution! A picture at 20MP vs one at 5MP is no comparison. All phones should have been set to the highest common resolution and then compared.

Burntime, 06 Oct 2014What is the logic in Camparin a 40mp shooter with 13 mp shooter ???MP count isn't everything but having said that, the 1020 can only be rated against the best other phone makers have to offer. Not it's fault that they are found wanting :)

Imho it deserves honourable mention in ea... moreI have both and I have to agree...strangely, my 808 seemed to do even better than my 1020 in low light situations! But I use my 1020 as my mainstay phone due to Windows OS continually getting upgrades and also for OneDrive. I got pissed of my 808 because some of my pic files were corrupted (probably due to faulty SD card). So to me, 1020 a bit more of a failsafe device even if it's not quite as good as the 808 on photo taking.

If you take a shot in a 5MP Samsung, 5MP Apple, 6MP Sony, 8MP LG and Nokia, 12MP oppo, 16MP Micromax,Karbonn,Lava; then every phones will have the same quality....Because Samsung, Apple and Sony makes most clear cameras...LG and Nokia has good white balance, but they doesn't have much clear like Samsung and Sony...And Oppo has very low clarity camera than even Nokia and LG...and The worst camera sensors are built in Micromax,Lava,Karbonn and similar....Even 2MP Samsung camera beaten the 5MP Lava and Karbonn...and took a picture that has almost the 95% clarity of 8MP Karbonn with Samsung's small 2MP....so every peoples think again...or test it...you will know the difference of sensors in those companies..

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2014That's an Android issue. Due to it's buggy OS.No, it's actually a Samsung issue. My colleague and a client's S5 both did it - both had to get replacement units under warranty.
