Looks like IOS and Android are starting to become the same. I use the Google Now launcher on my Android phone and tablet. It has made me want to use IOS now with Google services. I really can not tell the difference between my Galaxy light and a Iphone 4. I now want to get a Iphone 4S because I have to many cases for the Iphone 4 that use to be my Fathers.
Anonymous, 30 Jul 2014Apple provide the platform / sdk Developers provide you the experience from the platform / ... moreAll I care about is Swype. Can't wait for this and Android L. Bot Operating systems seem to be resembling each other after each version.
Lets face it. IPhone only has higher profits because they sell their products at a larger margin than other manufacturers and they tie you in to iTunes etc so you are limited to where you can get stuff from and what you have to pay for it. There have been no major changes since the iPhone 4s to now so while you go about squealing about how super it is try something new rather than getting an iPhone on launch day and following the rest of the sheep. That is all

Stoiks, 01 Aug 2014Apple iOS is soooooo 2007 still. I guess it reflects lastest OS share of 11.9% v Android 85... moreLOL at your numbers. gather all your android companies together, throw in microsoft and intel with them, all together, COMBINED, aren't worth the market value of apple :D and that my friend is a FACT
You know that report on how iOS have a backdoor that allows the government to get ANYTHING off your phone, but only if you've paired the device with your computer?
Well won't Handoff do exactly that? How sneaky of Apple - promote a feature that you will use, whilst swiping all your personal data.
Please give the bluetooth option to send and receives the files sending and receiving options and direct cut and paste option without using the iTunes.
Still need the iTunes for uploads of music and videos... Please make a update after which we can download directly from the Internet
Anonymous, 26 Jul 2014BB is not the best OS, otherwise they wouldn't have such a low marketshare, even lower than MS... moreBeing the best doesn't mean being the most used.
If you are a less apps person, give it a try for a week and try not to be prejudice. You will be surprised how productive BB10 is.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2014iTunes isn't difficult to use. It's just a pain in the ass to have to use it. Android phones,... moreI quite agree (as both a Mac and iOS user). While some iTunes features I like, such as the 'sync all artist/genre/playlist' it is a total pain that it's reliant on iTunes for everything. Drag & drop is the primary thing I miss about my old Galaxy Mini that I can't replicate on iOS.
Anonymous, 27 Jul 2014iTunes might be a pain in the ass for Windoze users.
Not so for Mac users.iTunes isn't difficult to use. It's just a pain in the ass to have to use it. Android phones, much easier with; plug in, copy/paste, unplug, DONE.
Having to go via iTunes just to put a song on your mobile device is simply a waste of time especially if you do not have all your music synced to iTunes

Maybe Apple needs to reflect on those numbers and extract the head out of the hole in the ground!
Looks like the joke of an email app remains the same.
VERY annoying I can't send multiple various files and attachments on the ONE only email.
It's 2014 Apple...get with it please!
gnardog , 25 Jul 2014you JUST contradicted YOURSELF!!HA!these are two DIFFERENT operating systems.what this article... moreI dont see where i "contradicted" myself... i just stated that most features appeal to most, if not all iOS users because they havent had them before, and most android users are waiting for features like these to be implemented in iOS so they can switch ships. For example, I know some people who use Android because of its features, but dislike the way they are implemented.
And like someone said, iTunes is not required. You can use an iOS device without ever having to use iTunes.
ALonZo, 28 Jul 2014So many little updates and yet none of them are that overly exciting, especially when you have... moreApple provide the platform / sdk
Developers provide you the experience from the platform / sdk.
So you see Apple only adds little.. (Those are bloatwares, as seen in Android OEMs)
iPhone is afterall, a launcher for the universe of apps. So wait a few mths later, u see more creative stuff you can do.
