I work for Apple, Samsung, LG, HTC and Nokia at the same time. Seriously...plastic more durable than metal?! I agree that in some cases plastic is the better choice than metal. Yes Alpha is the same design like S5 and it's boring. The design of S5 is boring. It looks like a brick but made from plastic. Different people - different tastes. Some like it, some not. The thing that annoys me most is that they advertise the phone as the first Samsung phone made from metal, but it's not made from metal only the frame is made from metal. Have a nice day :)

So yes, I officially will say it, I hate and despise Samsung and will trash its products whenever I can, because they are the lowest, most unethical SoB's out there
And I am surely not ashamed in any way to be a Samsung hater from now on....because they deserve it!

However in general cases Samsung offers hardware that is more often a little more expensive like better camera's than most, Amoled which costs more, more sensors, and more functional software with more features and security. And they generally have among the best battery life....Aside from the Alpha of course due to it's size.
But the Alpha also shows some better battery life to be expected of future devices with larger batteries too.

But in Android, there are so many rivals with better specs. So i doubt that it will steel the Iphone's sales.But this is the best samsung phone interms of design.

Actually the plastic is the most durable and practical to use. Plus only comes from design of S5 and Note 3. So not old either. And the soft touch/textured back of this and s5 is one of the most comfortable.
So new camera, and new Exynos chip that is first on 20nm.
It's cheaper than Galaxy or Note. But still comparable in specs. Just not as good in all ways so not quite as expensive.
Aside from smaller battery because of size it's comparable to flagship.

Samsung is the greediest company... after Apple of course. What is Galaxy Alpha? Same boring design, same plastic body excluding the "unique", "unseen innovation" called metal frame, standart HD display...so what's the really new in this phone?! The camera only, because there are few phones with a 12MP 16:9 sensor. I'm not a Apple fan boy, Samsung fan boy, HTC fan boy, LG fan boy or any fan boy. I'm just observing the facts. And the facts are that Samsung offers nothing special just a metal frame and a new camera, and the price is near flagship price. My conclusion: Samsung Galaxy Alpha - NO THANKS! Have a nice day :)

They make plastic (polycarb) you b*tch about, they play around with metal and you b*tch some more. They offer better camera than iPhone would dream of, develop their assembly and power efficiency tech even further, tone down TouchWiz and bloatware and you keep on b*tch*ng still. Man admit that Samsung is not your liking and pick another f***ing handset from the multiple alternatives on market. Enough with the b*tch*ng though!!!!!

I have two S4, one i9505 and a google play edition. Is there someone that could tell me the reason to buy this galaxy alpha and replace my S4???
Spec-wise, I do not think it is better than the S4.

The Moto X is still a good alternative to Galaxy Alpha. It is a role model of a flagship in a compact size. Just a thought.
