Very nice hardware but software is sooo bad, only good thing is that is smooth. MS think that all ppl are stupid and don`t need anything on their phones or that is only poor excuse until they manage how to make better software.

Andra, 07 Sep 2014I've been using Nokia Lumia 630 for last 3 months, the performance of windows 8.1 is very good... moresame here. 720 user since last one year. Amazing pic in low light and buttery smooth. Some issue with OS ( which hopefully will be resolved soon). Now will either go with 730 or 830.

It's curious to see how opposite the desktop version of windows could be... Lol

In the other hand Linux in desktop is a beauty, but Android (a Linux distro) is the devil...

      Lol

Nokia LUMIA 730 Dual Sim will be the Best Seller Windows Phone of 2014-2015 just like Lumia 520 is currently. Lumia 730 has "SUPERHIT" written all over it. Huge Thanks NOKIA for making such a Beauty of a cellphone. Applause!

I've been using Nokia Lumia 630 for last 3 months, the performance of windows 8.1 is very good. No lags, runs too smooth. No virus effected apps in store but Android have. Windows is virus free OS and maximum low end windows mobile supports high end features. No regret go for windows. Even 512mb ram runs high-end games without lag like Asphalt 8 Airborne.

maky, 06 Sep 2014I think you are wrong. I'm using awp8.1 not developer preview. I hav sideloaded almost 70 apps... moreIs it? How can you do that? In wp8 the method is some kind of root, with full chinese language software. It is only up to 10 apps though. Or is it new wp 8.1 feature? Please tell me, i really need that

im going to say this again, the tiles in wp will look ugly, its because it was not arrange properly, when it arrange according to the owners preference, it will be beautiful. i have mine arrange, and seeing the wallpaper 65-70% , have all of my apps at the side or in the folder.

based on what you need. if you need casual use, wp is better. best office exp in mobile. the app store host many apps, not apple or play store many, but it is more than enough for what you need. the popular apps are already there. the ui is debatable.
android is more mature os. the apps are too much. android is great for multimedia, since it is made to be that way. android is very customizable, you can change everything the way you like.
my personal feature i like in android is ability to sideload apps. yes, in wp you can do that, but you must register your phone as developer phone, and it is limited to 4 apps. in android, this is native and very easy to do.

It's not a 26 mm focal length lens. It has a field of view that is equivalent to 26 mm focal length in full frame (135-film) terms. Real focal lenght would be around 3,2 mm. The crop factor would be around 8,1x, not accounting for the differences in aspect ratio.

The aperture is a relative number. Relative to the focal length (f = 3,2 mm). f/2,2 would mean 3,2 mm / 2,2 = 1,45 mm diameter aperture "pupil". That number may seam like uninteressting technicalities to many readers here, but it's actually a qiute important number. It indicates very strongly how good this camera is on image noise. 1,45 mm is not a best and not a worst in its class but quite average for a mobile phone.

Please update the review with the words "26 mm full frame equivalent focal length" and please include the 1,45 mm number somehow.
