AnonD-297954, 04 Sep 2014natural aluminum frame colour will not last much more ... like in samsung galaxy series that m... morenatural alu is weak and fragile metal. but if it anodized properly it can be strong. some anodizing method can make it harder than diamond, yes that diamond, strongest element known. and the color if it anodized is long lasting. painting natural alu is bad idea, the paint will not stick properly because of rust layer. the paint will be easily peeled of.
alu doesn't corrode. yes it rust, but doesn't corrode. the rust is protecting it's lower layer. unlike iron, the rust is corroding.

What's with the 16:9 screens? I thought those were only for phablets?
They should've continued with the usage of 5:3.
Also, I hate how all of the x30 phones have enormous screen size.
530: 4.0"
630: 4.5"
730: 4.7"
830: 5.0"
930: 5.0"
The only one acceptable to me is the 530, which has IMO the perfect screen size. But geez can't they squeeze decent specs into that body?
BRING DOWN SCREEN SIZES!
I've been waiting for small screen, high end Windows Phone since they released the 920 and 820 in September 2012.
I guess I'll wait for the x40 lineup...

Come on all Lumia have the best camera 📷 in using 630 and it's better than those huge 8 mp camera 📷 from random OEM. Plus you haven't used 830 yet so keep quiet about that.

10MP? Pureview?
Isn't the whole point of Pureview to have the huge resolution (i.e. 40MP) in order to allow over-sampling and lossless digital zoom? That can't be one in a meaningful way with 10MP.
And no zenon flash?
I guess Pureview is dead.
I understand that Nokia needs to make phones with more mass appeal. But it would be nice for them to keep real phone camera innovation alive with flagship phones that have real Pureview systems.
It's funny how Nokia periodically makes a great camera phone and then abandons the technology. For a long time the Nokia N95 was the supreme camera phone. Came out in 2006 and took better pictures than pretty much all phones until a year or two ago. Now there's the Nokia 808 and 1020 that just eclipse every other phone out there. I guess it's going to be another five years until anyone bothers to make a great camera phone again.
And I wonder if it will even be Nokia who does it next. Now that Damian Dinning is not longer at Nokia, it doesn't seem like they really care about great cameras anymore. Thanks Stephen Elop for ruining what was great about Nokia.

Agree that onscreen button doesn't look good.. But hey that's the way to keep the cost low and also, easier to get android manufacturer onboard easily. High end lumias I guess will have physical keys like Lumia 830.

Looks like, 830's pureview camera sucks and 730 don't have the glance screen feature.

Microsoft / Nokia needs urgently to visit the App store and purge everything that does not work
It is better to have an App store with Apps that work than downloading items that are in effect APP PERJURY
and including them in the App count

Nokia have kept BOTH microSD and it appears removable
battery so if battery stays then a good thing

but.. The problem is that it is ONLY 2MP camera increase and Nokia have NO settings the 820 only takes 8MP photos so I expect ONLY 10MP photos
Both Sony and Samssung you can select the resolution upto maximum.
NOTE Nokia ONE is not a setting that is a switch
If I did NOT have a 820 then YES the 830 is great except the ORANGE one, upgrading offers me little
